Chainsaws and other weapons

Ok when starting a new team, how does one get a secret weapon?
Do they cost any dollar?
Where are the costs if any?

Currently, only some star players can have a secret weapon (Chainsaws, bombs, etc...). You can only hire them for one off games using money from your treasury or inducement money due to differences in team value of the teams being played. Some teams have access to weapon wielding stars, some don't.

In older versions of the rules you could buy weapons, but not anymore.

If a player isn't listed as having a secret weapon, you can't get them one, so no Elf chainsaws for example.

Use LRB6 and play goblins. They have secret weapon players in the roster. Just hire a few.

Taking the opposition's best scorer out of the game with a chainsaw is always fun. If you manage to kill him the other coaches in the league will probably even congratulate your chainsaw-wielding maniac.
