Lego BB

Post by sann0638 »

Anyone ever made a lego BB pitch? They seem to be bringing out Lord of the Rings lego figures, and it would be awesome for travel BB. Could even dismember them when they get injured!

I've played against a lego team, Necro IIRC at one of the tournaments.

Both glorious and awful simultaneously :)

Lego BB

Post by harroguk »

My Lego necros are awesome, also have Lego undead, vamp and nearly finished khemri too. Its worth noting that this is not a cheap way of putting a team together. My six custom Lego zombies (that look amazeballs) cost £40 on their own.

Next plan is to make a lego pitch but my quick costings price that at £80 ish just for parts.

Wow, I never realised lego had got so expensive.

It looks like they are giving GW a run for their money in the changing serious bucks for little bits of plastic stakes.

I do really want to see how they manage LOTR elves, dwarfs, goblins and trolls in lego though.

Yep, I just investigated making a BB pitch from the large flat green bits. You would need 6, which would be £30!

Personally I abhor this development. somebody used lego at my league as a stop gap once, then the next season there was more. This needs to be stopped! NOW!

I spend some time trying to paint to a reasonable standard and then some bloke puts a load of plastic bricks in front of me with an explanation that goes something like "the ones with the swords are the blitzers and the ones with the shields are the blockers" To which I want to say "the one with the smoke coming out of his ears is me"

I would rather see figures painted by a 3 year old, hell I would rather see bare metal. I hate this development almost as much as I hate dwarves. Its only a matter of time till some twonk turns up with a lego dwarf team and expects me to come all "Oh they are cool". Ten minutes with a lump hammer is all I ask!

If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.

Seriously? Some of us take no interest in the painting/modeling side of this hobby, I can think of nothing worse than sitting down to paint.

What I do instead is look for cool ways to represent my team that don't involve painting. LEGO was one method.

The problem with identifying models isn't unique to lego, I have the same issues with official teams. For example, skaven, the ones with the mitts are gutter runners, the ones with armor are storm vermin, etc...

Sounds more like you issue is that someone is representing there players with something unique rather than them using lego.
