My concern would be that they'd look like midgets next to these guys, I'd really want a set of skeletons made to match the mummies in scale.txapo wrote:I would use a plastic set from GW that suits you, or half a set and share yours with someoneelse,...Virral wrote:Ok give me a set of Skeletons that look as good and I'll finally be convinced to try a Khemri team.

To me, mummies/tomb guardians should only be slightly larger than a Black Orc as there size is not an indication of their strength. These ones look great and will seriously consider when they are released. Have considered using Ushabti, but would rather have mummies as they look better.

I think it would be interesting to see what the majority opinion on this is. Might be time for a poll.fanglord13 wrote:To me, mummies/tomb guardians should only be slightly larger than a Black Orc as there size is not an indication of their strength.

I think size is directly proportionate to the strength of the miniaure (dwarves of course the exception that proves the rule..) Snotlings are tiny for a reason, if anything the huge size of flesh golums is out of place as they are only str 4. I have been looking for some nice beefy mummies for ages and will be buying these as soon as they are released so that i can get my khemri on!

Best mummies I've seen so far. Was gonna go with the Goblin Forge ones, but Franarcilla's win by a mile.

Re: Willy-miniatures: pag 38 egipcian mummies ( 4 models )
Wow, I am in love with these mummies. Echo all the sentiments above that they actually make me want to create a Khemri Team (and I really have no interest in playing Khemri as they're so awful -- and this comes from a guy who happily plays ogres!). Though it would make fiscal sense, as there's so much skeleton overlap with the Undead/Necro team already in the collection....
I prefer big STR 5 guys ... I want them to stand out on the pitch. Plus, I'm sure opponents are much less inclined to mark these big scary looking monsters than they would be in I was using tiny little spindly mummies. And that's a plus, since the last thing you want is all your TG marked!

Re: Willy-miniatures: pag 38 egipcian mummies ( 4 models )
See...that's what I'm saying. If it's ST5 it needs to be big. Comparable to other ST5 minis. So maybe not quite as large as an Ogre or Troll, but it definitely needs to look like it can go toe to toe with one.
Based on how they make that 25mm base look small I think these are going to be okay size wise. Perhaps a tad on the smallish side, but I'll reserve final judgement for when I see them next to other minis. They're definitely going to be the best mummies on the market once they're out.

With regards to size I like mummies to be ST4 looking...anything ogre sized would just look daft. As such these look pretty spot on, a tad large if anything.

MUST have these 4 monsters! I love Khemri (playing them for a 4th straight season in local TT) and have 3 different Khem teams already - metal GW, Legos, and a plastic GW WH regiment with 4 RamTuts as TGs!
I've been happy with my skeletons but this set of TGs could replace even the RamTuts, which I like a lot!
Very excited for these!
