Any ideas on cheap local accomodation Ant? Google couldn't find anywhere under fifty notes for a night, which would mean I can't justify the cost.

There's a nice bit of grass in front of the venue if you can bring up a tent

I can put up a couple of peeps. My house is a costly taxi ride away though.
Edinburgh isnt a big city. There must be somewhere...

Check lastminute.com. Seems to be some there too. Cairn hotel on Windsor street would be perfect as 2mins from the venue.

Good work my Jock minions!!!
OK, £58 for a shared room that's less than five minutes from the venue and a ten minute walk from the train station sounds good to me. Especially when a return train is around twenty quid.
Anyone looking for a roommate? I'll ask the other Geordies but Stan's said he couldn't make it after all so my Blood Bowl other half will be sadly absent this time...

Oh, and Ant, probably worth updating and editting the first post with the correct venue and details.
Will this affect the timetable as I need to book train tickets soonish?

Jock minions indeed, Harrrumph!
No worries Dave, sometimes the power of the local is useful.
That hotel is so close to the venue it's unbelievable. Literally 2mins walk. Hope you find a willing victim, er room mate.

Possibly digging myself a deeper hole here, but...
It occurs to me that some may have taken my comment about changing the event name as a slate against Kingdom of Adventure.
This was not the case. I said what I said about changing the name of the event to reflect the fact the event is no longer being held in the 'Kingdom of Fife' and even at that, it was still intended as a joke.
For the record, I'm just as upset as the next hobbyist that a local independent retailer has had to close.
Anyways, see you all at the RAF club (and hopefully some before at Ochilbowl).
Hopefully I can put my shovel away now...

Bren was considering it, but I think with it being close to his wedding it was more of a cheap and cheerful weekend that interested him, I'm sure he'll be in touch if he can stretch to it though? James has lived hundreds of miles away for a year at least, so can't speak for him!
I'll assume from you ignoring the rest of my questions that the timetable hasn't changed and I haven't paid?!?
