A new idea on the Khemri
I was flipping through the Khemri/Tomb kings/whatever battle report in WD. Read about theses "Arrows of the asp" they have for their archers: mean that they always hit on a 5+ regardless of anything else.
I checked the roster at blood-bowl.net, which I assume is the latest one the MBBL are testing. The thrower looked a little formulaic (oh look, he has sure hands and pass. Just like the humans, orcs, skaven etc etc etc).
So instead of:
5/3/3/7 pass, sure hands. 80k
how about this
5/3/2/7 Pass, Nerves of Steel, Safe Throw.80k.
And they can then be called "Asp constructs" or "Asp aspects" or "hawk aspects" something to get rid of the STUPID magic helmet fluff.

Hmmmmm .... the roster from Galak's league might show up in print in a few months (or at least a darn close version) ... maybe, maybe, maybe .... anyone want to place bets ... if so let me know how many stat points and skill differences you'll spot me on this one (I'm willing to bet on a spotted 2 difference margin ..
)

Dunno...Certainly weakens them. Not sure I'd want to play them as much, think I'd probably prefer playing against them like that. Thats good if the Khemri team is going to have four rather than the two available to the "Old" undead team
Makes their development a little slower too, seeing as they'll now need to take Mighty Blow as soon as they have Block.
I like the better fit with fluff.

Can't really just take away MB and give them nothing though can you?
Most of the time you're going to be avoiding them (so FA won't matter), downfield (which means that shambling ST5 isn't on the line
, or isn't close
), or getting hit by them (where FA doesn't matter anyway).
FA isn't wildly powerful when you look at it like that...now, a pass blocking, diving tackling, sidestepping, FA Gutter runner...THAT's nasty.

I still love the all-AG2 or less idea. And the FA mummies are nice too: those changes solved practically all the balance problems that the Khemri had around here.

Re: A new idea on the Khemri
If we want to change them, what about a revolutionary concept of calling them "throwers"? I know... it's a bit radical and hardly fits BB fluff, but I like it.Thadrin wrote: And they can then be called "Asp constructs" or "Asp aspects" or "hawk aspects" something to get rid of the STUPID magic helmet fluff.
But they have to have sure hands, so I'd go for
5/3/2/7 Sure Hands, NoS.70k. if we want to differentiate them from ordinary throwers.
