See everyone in a few hours, and if you see me catching some zzz's, please don't wake me - just finished work, so I'm on for a 36hr "day".

Re: The Spiky Club Open 2011 15/16 October
End of day 1, Joe is top, Lycos 2nd.
My tourney has been bad, but surprisingly, I don't feel to bad about it, as I don't feel I've played badly enough for my 0-1-2 record.
Took Pack with a Jugg/BT mino, a BT/Guard Ogre, Blodge DE, Bloc/Leader marauder and a two-head/big hand gobbo.
Game 1 vs Purplegoo's Vamps: 1-1
Thought I played ok in this one, although I needed a slice of luck in T16 for an Ogre to intercept the vamp-to-vamp pass. Was pleased that I managed to score on my offencive drive, even though I only had 4 standing players due to a pitch invasion.
Game 2 vs Moodygit's Amazons: 0-1
We'd never actually played at a tourney, so a bit of a grudge game. Probably the game I'm gutted about the most, as I twice had a rerollable 2+ for the lead, and twice I snake-eyed, only for Moody to pull of a semi-elf play near the end to score. 1st half turned him over, only to fail a whiteline GFI. 2nd half, firstly failed a 2+ dodge (with reroll) to get out of Blitz range, then, hgaving recovered the ball, failed a rerolled 2D block, just needing a push, to clear a path to the EZ. Oh well, at least he was happy in the car on the way home.
Game 3 vs Firebreather's Norse: 0-2
Never in this one - 4 cas in 4 turns, plus assorted stuns and KOs, meant the first 5 turns consisted of move a couple of players, do a blitz, roll over the stuns. Did foul off a PO Blitzer (first successful foul in about 30:rolleyes:), and spent the rest of the game trying tofoul as many off as possible. Did have a slim chance of an equaliser (which would have left Steve with 4 turns to win), but it wasn't to be.

...and finished with 32 casualties - awesome!
A few results:
Top four after game 4 went into semifinal and final shenanigans:
1st Jimjimany - Pro Elves (stinkin' DT blodge blitzer grumble grumble)
2nd Sann - Dark Elves
3rd Pippy (Wood)/
4th Lycos (Pact)
League winner - Joemanji
Most cas - Firebreather (see above)
Most TDs - Stevetemplar, who also took most scored against!
Thanks Dave for a quality weekend. 1st prize was a large knife, so don't cross Jim any time soon...
...and Dave also seems to have posted the full results while I was typing!

Hmm - did I really come 14th having beat Val in the last round, and he came 5th?
Cheers for a good weekend all, top banana.

No, that result was wrong. I corrected it in the NAF results but Dave's screen shot doesn't reflect my changes.

10th!
I guess winning all 3 on the 2nd day would do that (gmae write-ups tomorrow - maybe...).
And in the interest of protecting my clubs reputation (HAH!
), BigBelcher only played 3 games, Shipley only 2 (and still not bottom!).
And cheers to Dave for organising - good times.
