There are also sellers on e-bay and specialised bitz services that sell individual parts from spruces.

The plastic Kroot warriors, chaos marauders, ork nobz and dark elder hellions all have some good bits that work well as pads. You can also get loin cloths from the orc nobz and dark elder warriors and dire avengers boxed sets that work really well for less armoured models.
