just wanted to let you guys know, our fantasy football get togeather, which attracted 19 coaches last year, will be on october 29th at the nesquehoning rec center. in hounor of our friend and my cousin mike kriger, we are naming the event the mike kriger memorial game.
as some here know, mike was an advid bb player and a dear friend. he was killed in afganistan recently and we wanted to remember him in some small way. we are having a cup made and we are looking for some sponsors to contribute prizes. last year, the good folks at GOBLIN FORGE were kind enough to donate a bunch of their great looking minitures and we had SAL'S PIZZA donate the pies.
we had quite a few members say there were interested in coming, but sorry to say, none showed. i hope some people can make the trip up into the hills of northeast pa. to join in.
we will be playing bb and my friend jape will be seting up his awsome rollerball track and all are welcome to try it out.

it will be held at the nesquehoning, pa. rec center on october 29th from 10am to 5pm(time aprox.). with a lunch break(with pizza from sal's) about 12:30.
admission is $5 to cover the "donation" required to use the hall. the place is really nice with plenty of room and nice clean bathrooms

i'm very happy to announce jonny p. from zlurp fame was kind enough to send us a nice bunch of prizes for our up coming Mike Kriger MEMORIAL CUP tourny on october 29th in nesquehoning, pa. jorge at WILLY miniatures has emailed me and has said he would like to contribute, also. jorge has told me he has served in the spannish army, and from one soldier to a soldier lost, wanted to do something.

that being said, i put it here(as i did last year) because, tho we do have prizes and awards, many of the coaches are "newbies" and if they were put against most of us with years of bb under our belts...lets just say, not many would be back. but by all means, put it where it belongs

i want to give anyone interested on our event some updates.
along with jonny p. and willy, gaspez arts has donated one of their nice looking frog teams. looks like this is gonna be a good one. a very big THANK YOU to our sponsors.
its great to see some companys are still willing to help with prizes in these bad economic times. and its a credit to the above named folks that they even took the time to get back to us. believe me, some did'nt even take a moment to email us with a "no" or a "your event is'nt big enough".
