Hey Mike... yes somehow denoting what model has what upgrade is something that has come up in many tournament's I've run. People complain that they make it a point to mark all their guarders, or blodgers, and their opponent didn't so how is that fair?
Well...my only solution was to award/penalize some bonus points for it.
I recommend the rubber band base rings from impactminiatures.com... but other things work just as well.
Some others I've seen have...
-printed out skills on little pieces of paper and taped or magnetized to base
-painted skills on front of base
-used little colored pieces of felt on the base
Or a simple solution is just using models that match skills. For example
"The two Black Orcs with their arms up have Guard. The two Black Orcs with their arms down have Block"
No confusion there since the models look the same that have the same skills.
And yep... I can add Evilbutgood name on there! Looking forward to seeing you guys!

5 days left until pre-reg closes. Do it now, or cry about it later.

Re: The Chaos Cup -- September 17-18, 2011

See this guy... the name is Chaz. Spelled Chaos. Silent O. You'll be hearing a lot from him soon... probably on a future Zlurpcast or if you get Zlurp Nation emails. Maybe even some Press Releases posted to this forum.
He's the new mascot of the Chaos Cup... 100% pure evil.... but also the weakest half-daemon you'll ever meet. His mom was knocked up by one of the Chaos Gods. She doesn't remember which. So for the next four years, he'll be dedicating each Chaos Cup to one of his potential daddys. Year 1... sponsored by Khorne Flakes!
More on this later... but look for Chaz's face on all the Chaos Cup swag this year!
Pre-register now or else he will (try and) kill you.

Awesome! Johnny and I were hoping to encourage more of that this year with the one week gap between the NA Majors. Love to see a Halfling team take both!

Re: The Chaos Cup -- September 17-18, 2011
I have a feeling that in 2012 (no World Cup) we will see a lot more people take advantage of our "one week between the NA majors and we're awesome" plan.
And yes, that is now the official name of the plan!

I could very well be taking advantage of that next year (this year vacation trip was already booked).
