Or there's Chaos Pact, with a little Claw on the Mino, Piling on the Ogre....... See them tear up the pitch, tearing up the opponents......
Or a S3 Goblin, with Two Heads....... See him dodge into your cage, on a 2+ with reroll, and one dice block your man.......

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE there is currently a problem with the orgfree site that hosts the thrudball website....

Peter Hopkinson and Dave Downes both very kindly and quickly advised me of this (the virus actually got through Dave's work's firewall, but they fixed it pretty quickly and luckily they restored his virtual PC), so I have mailed orgfree asking for advice on what to do to fix the issue...

please DO NOT visit the thrudball website until I either resolve this with them or else move it to a new (securer) host...

what sort of see-you-the-day-after-next-wednesday puts a virus on a charity website?!!??!!?

If I ever find out who did this I'll send thrud after him!

I've been on the site recently. However, I have Norton 360 so would assume my computer would be ok.

Should I be concerned?

Perhaps I phrased the question badly.

What I meant, is Norton 360 capable of dealing with these threats?

Yep.

depends what you mean by "deal with them". If you ask most techies they will tell you to avoid norton like the plague.

Norton is fine. Most peoples beef with it is that it can be a bit of a system whore so the cures as bad as the cancer, albeit without any porn popups :)

Norton should have flashed up a warning message though. It seems very likely that the trojans were only added two days ago. If you accessed the website over the weekend or before and Norton didnt raise an alarm then I wouldnt worry - the odds are that the trojans hadnt been added yet.

Just to clarify, pretty much any AV package would have sent you a warning, and you would have just quit and you would be fine.

However, I was very curious (I work in the IT industry) to get the warning - having been on the site quite literally, the evening before.
So my techy mate built me a virtual pc and then we went on again, just to see what it did, more to help Frank and quench my curiosity! And my tech guys say that is a Mother F****r of a virus/trojan!! It totally trashed the pc we built to test it!

Frank.

That leads me to ask... is there any way you can post up some brief rules. I went on today just to see what the skill set is and all get the post code etc. A link is all well and good but there is nothing like having it right in here in text, no matter how long the post is.

(actually, I suggest you edit your first post with rules and directions).

Ok, first thanks to lycos for helping to confirm my worst fears that orgfree do have a serious virus (I've not had a reply so if I don't hear from them by friday I will be forced to move the entire site to a safer server i guess... :( ) .

I actually have norton at home but am myself too shit scared to try hitting the thrudball website in case I kill our antiquated home pc...

I brought the website update in to work on a gigstick to upload (we live 7 miles from the phone exchange and just CANNOT update from home) so I was also terrified I'd somehow corrupted the work computers, but our IT chap at work virus checked it using Mcafee and found nothing wrong...so I'm hoping the problem is the host and NOT me. Lack of response to my emails suggests they might be in trouble...

Would appreciate some advice on a good SAFER site to host the thrudball (and probably the bognorgaming site too), even if it costs me to do so(bah humbug)...I better go for ad-free as I've simply not got time to redsign the whole site to include a popup section(tricky due to thrudballs menu bar).

Plus I'm beginning to wonder if I've left some great gaping hole in my website that allowed the shit who planted the virus / trojan into orgfree's server, god I hope not...My Web design skills are only NVQ2 and I did the web design course back in 2006...so perhaps I need a refresher course...sigh!

I will update my first post to include the rules postcode etc as Dave suggests, thanks mate.
