I love this concept of ghousl!!!

They're St3 players, which means they're the average fantasy football player, and these players are supposed to be agile and very athletic. I've always thought that human and orc linemen surely are really muscled under that armour and that elf players should be more Bruce Lee-like in complexion. All of them are St3, but their muscular difinitions are different.

A ghoul is supposed to be very similar to a human, and he's Arm7 because he wears no armour, so the concept is 100% correct to me. Of course, they shouldn't be too big because if so they'd look like bodybuilders.

I'd prefer a different approach to the head, more in the way of the old Warhammer metal ghouls (I find BB ghouls awfully ugly), but I lo ve them anyway :D

I will add to the chorus: My first thought when I saw them was they appear very strong. I think the same effect can be accomplished by only slightly reducing their shoulder muscles. Otherwise I think it is a great concept.

I know these miniatures and are better models than the ghouls of heresy.

Yes those heads are very reminiscent of Venom and the other villain of spiderman ("matanza" in Spanish), the height will be correct.
Darkson wrote:That was my first thought to (Venom).
And I agree, to powerful-looking for Ghouls (though I'd happily find a use for them for something else) - I know GW's models aren't to everyones tastes (I don't like their new hunched plastics ones), but at least they represent what they're meant to - tribes of dead-eating sub-humans.
4 bodies and 6-8 will be heads, different styles, including heads to remember the classic ghouls.
Be sold in a pack and the coach can give you the final look you want.
burgun824 wrote: I agree with them being a bit too bulky for my liking. But I like what Willy has done so far with his other minis and I think there will probably be a bunch of people that like this look.
Ghoul have the force of a blitzer orc, dark elf runner speed and agility of human catcher, it would be impossible for me to create a miniature humpbacked with these characteristics. I like a lot of athletic miniatures, I think an elite athlete, you must have better physique and better fed than a soldier.

Thanks
burgun824 wrote: BTW - how long before we can expect a Flesh Golem? This is a sorely needed mini for FF IMHO. I know it's got to be on your mind. If so...please, please, please do it right.
Right ;) , I want to finish the undead - nicro , I left for last the flesh golem, my friend and sculptor franarcilla has done a very good golems .I did not want to bother each other, but a couple of flesh golem is in my mind.
theghr wrote:Well, Ghouls got pretty good agility and speed, so for me the biggest problem would be the strenght 3
The Force 3, I think that is going to represent the correct size, somewhat higher than the miniatures of the 80, but perfect with my other models.
The armor 7 also be properly represented, the ghouls have a brace and a pad only.

OK, I take note.

Thanks for the comments, to me is important. No brand alternative we have "design team and creating" teach the concept in the forums is the best way to know if a product is going to like it or not.

Another good thing no one seems to be aware of, and it is that, if those figures are sculpted well enough, we'll have a very good quality figures with great positions and muscles and no head, so anyone skilled enough can make great conversions with them adding armour, using different heads, etc.

Nice work and ideas there Willy!!!

I had that thought, too.

Just cos they're sold as ghouls it doesn't mean you have to play them as ghouls! A nice looking fig is a nice looking fig :)

it's funny - I've always seen Ghouls as the "weak" link in the Undead/Necro chain - largely because of the lack of Regen obviously..

but Willy's comment that they are as strong as an Orc, fast as an Elf and agile as a Human is actually a very good point.. elite athletes indeed, and only 6SPPs away from being a pain in the @$$ to knock down as well!

I'm not overly keen on the "Venom" look, but well sculpted and painted and they might just work..

I think the important thing here is how they scale and fit with the mummies/wights as a team concept, rather than how they look in isolation.
Any time scale for any zombies? Just curious... probably going to be taking Undead to the NAF WC this November...

Getting slightly OT; but not the Heresy Deathball Ghouls, the old (I believe now OOP?) Lurkers:

.i sent him an Email asking about Zombies and Skeletons,He said that he did not have any plans for them. That the mantic and GW one were good. Also to many choices out their in the Market for him to compete.I was hoping for a complete team build. But i see Where his point is.

I know its early but any news on these guys yet? I got my flesh golems, werewolfs and whights today and would really like to complete the set (while I continue searching for appropriatly sized zombie).
I have to say though, your casts are excellent, there were almost no mold lines and very, very little trimming needed to be done. Top notch.

I will have to add to the praise. Got my Willy figs on Friday and they are great figs. Clean casts min mold lines. The Elf sculpt is just plain sick. Please make a team of Elves.

Now waiting on my Greebo order (Lots of good stuff from Greebo ;) ) and my Impact order.

Just need to find time to paint. :(

thanks, it was a shame not to know English to speak and hear ideas, criticisms, advice, etc ... I am happy to put faces to nicks, I used to know all Spanish coaches and many Italians, now also know some English coaches:).
