Thadrin wrote:Well, the stripes aren't great, the highlights are a bit heavy handed (though they look fine at playing distance) and I'm not even going to attempt to pick out all the studs on his shirt in metals (my brushes are too knackered and a couple of them would be too damn fiddly, so better with none picked out), and the base is only getting flocked...but my guy is done. Just sat down this evening and got through it pretty quick. Its amazing how fast you can paint if you put your mind to it and don't expect Eavy metal finishes.

Oh I certainly wouldn't do that. I think the checkerboard is fine, especially now that you already started it. I was just trying to tell the rest of the guys mainly. It was easy to miss that because it was part of the original thread for the legacy team, and as you said there are plenty of guys here who don't know anything about american football.traveller wrote:Great, this i didnt knewwell the checkerboard looks fine to me, but just fyi i think the point was a cincinatti bengals theme.![]()
I´m not in about this NFL liga stuff or any American football background stories.
... Hm, have to repaint .

Anyway, good luck with however you do it.

my gobbo is done! I worked on him all day today and he looks pretty good i think...all that's left is putting the #7 on his back and flocking. Unless someone says otherwise by tomorrow, I'm just putting basic green flock on him. I don't get carried away with bases.

You guys like static grass for BB minis? Hmmn. I always thought flock matched the board better. My static grass is a different shade of green and looks funny on the borad...although I'm doing a mini for this, that is unless I have until next year to finish him?

Static grass looks ridiculous unless you weather it by drybrushing it with a lightbrown or similar color. That way you get rid of the shiny look and all the different shades of green.

He's done! Gobbo #7 is ready for action!

I've never put pics on here before, i hope it works.
In case it doesn't, I have it here:

As usual, the sealer makes him look shinier than he is...all in all though I'm pretty happy with him.

Looks like I'll have to get to work on my own miniatures!

yeah you wouldn't want to be the prima donna on a goblin team. that sort of thing usually gets you thrown, or eaten by a troll.traveller wrote:hahhahaha, ok, ok,yours is now the official Prima Donna![]()
