Absolutely no way it will be April.

FFG takes orders 2 months ahead of release and they have not yet notified everyone that the produce is available for pre-order.

So if they announce today it was available ... that would be for a June release. So April is impossible.

My associates at a local toy store assure me that the game is available now.

Edit: Not quite right. German Games is selling pre-orders. However, they've emailed a friend of mine to tell him that the game is in stock. Perhaps they're selling early on the hush?

Anyway, might be of interest to those who won't make it to the Impact! booth this summer.

Sure. Thing is that he's not enthused about the prospect of the game and won't bother getting it, haha. I'll see if I can weasel my way into one once I have some more cash.

I called FFG yesterday and I'll try to quote as closely as possible to what I was told:

"Blood Bowl Team Manager is still in development. It is still our hope to have the product for GenCon. At this time though, it does appear more likely it will not be ready by GenCon than that it will."

Adding my thoughts now:

No way it is coming out by Gen Con. We were told that April 30th was the drop-dead date for the new card game Impact! has coming out. Beyond that date and the printer would not be able to produce the product in time for Gen Con (first week August).

Apparently the Blood Bowl license from GW requires FFG to treat their Blood Bowl fans similarly to how GW does. After a year of official silence, expect C&Ds against fans, creator drama, and black and white cards stripped of all art and fluff...

Seriously, it's pretty ridiculous the lack of info about this game.

Yeah... at least "Death Angel" is getting some support.... I guess because if has Space Marines....

The Upcoming page on the Fantasy Flight website has BBTM listed under Fourth Quarter 2011. There's also been some talk of restrictive GW licensing and art being pulled. Go figure.

I hear that GW is requiring FFG to change the games name to Fantasy Football Team Manager - The Card Game.

Don't know what makes me facepalm more.. GW lawyering up because they aren't getting a big enough peice of this tiny pie, or the possiblity that FFG could have been developing the game this long without getting it properly licsenced
