Thanks to Joe and Leon for a great tournament. Again there is to be much heralding of the ruleset. Saturday night was eventful to say the least, and I finally got Dominionated. Feast in the throne room? Yes please.
6 fun games, some ridiculous ones, particularly vs Lycos and Rodders. All good fun.

A massive thanks to Joe and Leon, the weekend was a blast. The ruleset is top notch and the venue was brilliant once again. I'll never understand the window on the toilet though?!
Well done, Pipe-y. The Saturday night was fun too.

Ta J&L for a great weekend.
I blame the no cans rule for the mess on Saturday. Drinking spirits at 11am is not a good idea.
Roll on Waterbowl.
(Sticks still MIA, if someone finds him please point him in the direction of Newcastle)

Stick stayed in hospital last night in York so he was far more ill than any of us had imagined.
No update today as yet, but I believe that it was rehydration and rest that was needed primarily.

Leon tells me treatment for self-inflicted illness shouldn't be free on the nhs. Apparently the coalition are bringing in a binge-drinking tax next month so I reckon he had a lucky escape...
All joking aside, thank god Sizzler got him to hospital (and more importantly making way so I could retain my title).

My word, another weekend of BB madness. Just when I think I have seen it all.... something new occurs. I do hope stick is ok... I did ask at 8am Sunday..."are we sure he is alright? The only person this ill the morning after is Geggster, and if what he has is infectious, we're all doomed". Ian we wait for news all is ok.
Re the games: Took Nurgle, my they are a challenge. They do alright unless the oppo have something called MV7 or above so games vs Pippy (Wood Elves) and Nick (Skaven) are all but unwinable unless Nurgle are just lucky on dice.
But I had some great games. Vs Adam (Beanbag), another 50 games would need to be played to see another where foul appearance so was unbelievably important. At every half important moment (read block) Adam rolled a One for FA. I found it funny.... he did well to take it so well!!
And I voice great appreciation to Joe and Leon. A funky ruleset and great atmosphere, it's in the "a bit different" category.
Moment of the weekend: Vs Nick, "Blitz" 5 up dodge, surf gutter runner". I dont think I have ever seen the unruffled Mubo quite so shocked. Thanks to Joe for the inspired "Lycos thinks nothing of a 5up" for giving me the idea...........

It's Feng Shui, mate. The Chinese have always emphasised the social aspect of defecation. Lycos has had a doorless walk-in shitter for years.Sizzling Gromril wrote:I'll never understand the window on the toilet though
Quality tournament for all the well documented reasons re ruleset etc. Impressed also to see the bar raised in terms of off-board incidents. Keep up the good work Jaw/Jo!
Some crackerjack matches, especially against Chairman Downes: that was quite an emotional rollercoaster...

See you all soon!
ps- I believe Stick just needs some rest now, ironically...

A great weekend, thanks very much Joe and Leon! There were too many highlights to list them all here, but a select few were:
- The World's first all Speech Therapy Blood Bowl clash! It was good to finally play Brendan, even I did get Wood Elfed <mutter...mutter...ruddy strip ball
>
- A fantastic game vs Jimany's high elves in round 2.
- Chaos Pact shenanigans vs Bigallium's Self-Harming Vamps, that saw my Mino catch the ball on turn 16 with a chance of a TD in sight. However, he was a Mino with a conscience and as there had been enough rudeness, he chose to end my nonsense there
- The Sizzler. International man of mystery and all round good egg. Women love him and men want to be him.
Looking forward to the next one already
PS @Rodders - next time Gadget!!

Well Then. That was an “interesting” weekend.
Quick recap
Took Orcs, Finished day one on 3 wins, (pippy – purplegoo & mumbojumalist ) over the moon! I had some luck in the dice, especially in the game vs phil.
Spicy food, beer and much frivolity followed.
Half 6 in the morning, woke to have a massive vomming session. I put this down to excess of the previous evening, however, I didn’t really have THAT much. The spewing continued again and again and again. My game vs Joemanji lsted 2 turns, before it became evident I couldn’t continue.
Joe and Sizzler kindly took me the walk in centre and off to A&E a few hours later. Was put on a drip to rehydrate me. All the vomiting / diarrhoea and dehydration, it set off my previous haeat condition. So they kept me overnight for obs
Back home now and very tired.
Thanks for the kind messages from everyone and especially to Joe and Sizzler for saving my life.
