The Spike...

Post by BigD »

Well you'll love this update then. Having done the payment now the Trophy has gone missing. Hmmmmmmmmm So I'm waiting on my payment back. And oh, another Trophy comes up for sale starting at £24. Don't know what others think but this seller sounds really flakey to say the least.

Going to see how this pans out but I'm not overly impressed. I've also advised the seller that I'm quite happy filing Fraud Charges with the local authorities, which having been burnt in the past I have no qualms with doing this.

Heres Hoping. But DON'T TRUST THIS SELLER!!! I SURE DON'T

... damm, maybe i made a mistake... while TBB was down this morning i spotted this auction und thought, give it a try. If it is this 500 pounds auction, then i will never ever reach the reserve price. So i was surprised to get this auction at the moment. Though, another trophy turned up. Now i hope, thats not the "normal" trophy. no more info from the seller until now.... argh, ebay is down right now...so i cant check if we talking about the same auction and seller.

If this is the normal trophy i just can hope someone will outbid me :puke:

Traveller, despite what Ebay says ... retract your bid. Finding out new information about the trustworthyness of the seller is a fine reason to cancel a bid.

I've ended up retracting several bids in my day for various reasons (all good ones). The system is there for these reasons.

Ohhhhhhhhh .... Nail her to a tree, BigD. I don't like sellers that end auctions early. I REALLY don't like sellers that renig on selling an item because they think they could have gotten more.

I blasted the seller via email about this stunt. Also Traveller glad to see you retract your bid ... smart move.

We'll see if my wording helps convince her to find the trophy for BigD.

I sent an email to the seller ... we've shot a couple back and forth. She has requested that I post this to the forum:

Subject: Re: Question for seller -- Item #3111810708

I didn't suddenly lose the mitheral spike, i thought i knew where it was but
it seems i didn't. Trust me when i say i feel really really bad about the
whole situation. I know that i shouldn't of put the item on auction without
being sure i actually had it. And i wouldn't blame anyone for not trusting
me and not bidding on my auctions. I don't know what i can do. Let me assure
you that everything has been sorted out with davin s. george the buyer. I
had not accepted the payment as i had no intention of taking his money i had
also offered some compensation but he was very nice and said not to worry
about it. If the spike does turn up it will not be going back on auction and
i will contact davin and sell it to him for a lower price if he wants. I
don't know what else to say except that i am sorry to all the people who
have been affected by my complete and utter cockup.
She said she might show up here to try and personally clean up her name as well.

well this isn't the guy I know who is thinking of selling his - having told him £500 is 'a bit steep' he refuses to believe me, and thinks I am going to try to rip him off!

so we'll see if it ever gets on ebay, my guess is no...
