Brettonian Teams What ever happened to them?

I was on the web looking for info and found some fourth ed. rules and included was bret. team roster. It looks tempting to start a team out of my second ed. humans and old Griff oberwald for my grail knight. But im still undecieded because of the lack of Strength 5 people. anyways any body got any piiks of teams or suggestions on a team build?Thanks

Hi Ken,
there is no official Bretonnian team.

It is by far the most asked about unofficial team.
But as you can probably sense from the replies already, the very idea of a Bretonnian team is remarkably offensive to quite a few people.

A Bretonnian team was part of the development of LRB5. But it wasn't ready when the rest of the rules were, and JJ didn't like the result.

Since then, a design has been settled on, and has been adopted by a few leagues:

Bretonnians...

The team stat box for Bretonnians can be found on page 73 of the CRP. It's labeled "HUMAN TEAMS".

Use the minis as a human team. Cooler than the not so cool plain human teams. And you can add an ogre.

I still like the idea of using the Orc roster, lets face it Knights are slow but well armoured.

Linemen = Knights Errant
Blitzers = Knights of the Realm
Black Orcs = Questing Knights
Throwers = Man at Arms
Goblins = Squires/general small runty peasant.

No trolls and you could have Varag as a Grail knight

Don't like the brittonians. Mainly because the seem so misspalced in the fluff. Their is the great human empire wageing war in the name of humanity! And the french ones :p


Honestly the onians fit best to the chaos dwarfs. Now here me out. Skilled slow knights(dwarfs), squishy peasents (hobgoblins) and cavalry knights (bull centaurs). Because current onians are renounded for their cavalry.


The mutations on the knights could be things like swords(claw) or holy auras (disturbing presence) e.t.c

This is a good idea if you really want to do that theme.

Arthur - swords? mounted cavalry? Holy auras? Geee, that doesn't sound much like a BB team

Neither does unicorns but they were their. Fine swap sword to gauntlet mounted cavalry to horse I dont care I'm just trying to add more tonian flavor to the team.

After all cavalry and knights are the main point of a brettonian army.

I find Bretonnians to be like the New York Yankees. You either love them to tears or want them to suffer a miserable death.
