1st ed Skaven and Human Teams

Post by nurglephill »

Hello!!

I am new here just bought myself the Nurgle rotters team to use with my OLD box of Blood bowl :)

I have a question though and this seemed like the best place for it really.

I have a complete Skaven and a complete Human Blood Bowl team from the first edition (they have 1987/88 on the tabs). I see the single miniatures on ebay go for quite a bit but can anyone here advise me how much a complete team is worth? No longer boxed but free of paint etc.

Many thanks

Phill

you sure they are 1st and not second?

second edition human team goes for about 40 quid

the skaven usually fetch a higher price, would get more for them individually, especially the blitzers and throwers, though obviously it is more work

if they are first edition then I dunno, rarely ever see a whole team of those

There ain't no 1st edition teams.
1st edition refers to 13 different models from different races among which were only 2 humans and one skaven.
You can find out here which models yours are:

PS: If Kicker1 and Lineman4 is among your skavens, I'd be interested in buying them. :D (They're not particularly rare - I just don't have them.)

They must be second edition. I don't believe there was ever more than one miniature per race produced for first edition. And I was playing 2nd Ed back in 87/88, so that sounds about right.

The Skaven are prized and should fetch a good price.

Well thanks for all the replies!

I have these two teams in full:

http://solegends.com/citbb/bb108skaven.htm

I thought they where first ed models? I am sorry if i have misrepresented them  I should have posted those links up with the first post... ?!?

I see the individual skaven from this team go for silly money and to be honest I had thought I had the later version of the team and not the earlier...which is why i have just left them in my case unloved!

I can confirm, those are the second edition Skaven and Human minis. I like the humans and LOVE the Skaven, as they were sculpted by Jes Goodwin. They should fetch a nice price if you put them up on eBay.

If I didn't already have a full set, I'd be throwing money at you for them. As it is, I'm tempted anyways.

If you decide to sell them individually and you don't manage to sell the human linemans I am interested if you sell them cheap :)

Well, i would like to sell them as teams, do you think Ebay is the only way to go? Also, can anyone tell me what they think they are worth?

The 2nd Ed Skaven are probably the best team ever sculpted for Blood Bowl.

I'd never sell mine (though they could probably do with another repaint if I ever get the time and energy to do it)...and unless you're sure you'll never use them EVER I'd keep them.

I concur, Thadrin. My favorite BB model ever is the skaven thrower with his arm back.

Only some of the minis are worth a motsa, the blitzers and throwers go for pretty good prices.

If you are keen to eBay them, I'd do those guys seperately.
As for the rest, you can pretty comfortably sell them as a group and still fetch a good price.

I mean it depends on the day... I saw an unopened 16 man Dwarf team go for only $50 AUD.

Just use my archives... most of the people here do this anyway.

I agree, the Skaven 2.ed are one of the best teams imo, too.
