I've been very busy tonight:-

Next to do is the black tunics, bandages, horns, silver bits, sashes and crests - then I need to pick out details on the faces and then do all the bases. I think I might not get them quite finished before I go on holiday, which is really frustrating, but hey-ho!

Thanks for all the comments in this thread, they've all been really appreciated!

Cheers Grum!

I'm not happy with the face mask on one of the safeties, so I might need to re-do that.
I did a bit more last night, but never got round to taking the photos - in fact, it's looking like I'll get them finished before I go on holiday after all! Only need about another hour to tidy them up and base them.

I'll post pics before I go on my jollies :)

One thing this thread has taught me - there's a good reason the professionals tend to photograph their work "actual size". That's cos when your work is magnified, the photos can magnify and exaggerate any little defect or wobbly line, and detract from the actual quality of the paint job! I'll try and do actual size shots at the end, so that everyone can get a sense of what they really look like.

Very impressed, lovely work and you managed to get it done so quickly as well!

You're right about close up detail photographs, they can certainly call undue attentions to minor problems that usually escape the naked eye during play. I'd say that these photos can hold the paint job up to a high level of scrutiny though, you can be proud of your work.

Awesome job dude, really impressive pace aswell. Sweet colors, can't go wrong with blue and white eh? ;)

I agree with Insane_Prophet, and I find this very annoying when taking pictures myself aswell, and I like your way of first posting close ups, and then a more "real life distance" to the players. You're skilled, and you can be proud of this team.

Thank you :)

My next project will be to paint up the Sarcos team that I ordered at the same time. I think I might do a WIP thread for those, too.

Bloody gorgeous models, they are

Your speed and quality of painting puts me to shame (over a year and I still don't have a fully painted team!). Lovely job and great looking team!

the close up pics were kind of "meh", but the smaller 28mm images make this look like a really good looking team.. I'm not sold on the blue/black/yellow, but that's a personal thing..

one question - why does one midfielder merit a number and the rest are anonymous??

Purely because of time constraints - I was wanting to get them photographed and on the site before I went away.
They will all be numbered and re-photographed when I'm back off hols :)

Really appreciate all the comments - thank you
