to loose with the newly painted team

Post by Sputnik »

For all of you painting miniatures:

Is it just me or do you know the following situation as well as I do? :o

You get your team, maybe start playing with them although not all minis got painted, and then there is the final moment where you got them all painted!!! WOW!

Maybe it's a sunny afternoon and you want to go out kicking s.o. a** with them.

then the next match is up---and you loose!!!! :puke:

It's ALWAYS like that. :pissed: :pissed: :pissed:

i pretty much always lose, so i've never noticed a direct connection... perhaps i should play with a few unpainted teams and see if i can win a few games...

To quote Homer Simpson:
Kids, you tried your best, and failed miserably... The lesson is, NEVER TRY.
Play with "naked" teams, this might improve your imagination (and saves time you don't have). :P

The fun thing is, that when you play with only one or two minis painted and the rest waiting, those painted fig's do play better, increasing your hopes of actually getting a better team once it's completely painted.

Getting nice fig'a as score counters does increase your chances though.

First game with my freshly painted (finally damned finished) Skaven (second ed figs of course)...against Orcs...I lose 2-0 after my tactic of throwing Long Bombs to waiting GRs fails....but win the Cas by SIing two Black Orcs in one turn.

Ironic (dontcha think?)
