It should be noted that the newer gangs are supposed to be played in their own area and not along side the old one. Think bloodbowl without the ball over city or jungle terrain.

I would say not very. Sean's observation that it is like BB without the ball is only partly correct - it's like BB without the ball but with far more death, and the situation that by the time you've got enough experience points to get your first skill, the rest of your warband has died. IMO, BB is the only GW game that actually does progression of your team/army/warband at all well.SBG wrote:Never played Mordheim though. Is it cool?

Martyn i think your confusing bad luck with game mechanics. The players i played with all got increasingly better warbands (except for Morgans Dwarves- same guy who does all the Morgan teams in the pbem leagues). Yes there is more death in mordheim but that is mainly henchmen (and who cares, they arent of noble birth anyways). Henchmen are much cheaper (in comparison) than most linemen in bb so its not really the same. My skaven warband was one of the nastiest i have heard of, and not nearly an overpowering warband even in that campaign.

That's strange. Whenever we played, every warband always had a lower rating after their first fight than beforehand. Not really terribly encouraging, so I never really chose to play it much.sean newboy wrote:Martyn i think your confusing bad luck with game mechanics. Well the losers mite have after the 1st just like some starting bb teams but the winners were all higher and alot were able to use the handicapping rules to get higher later on. There were 6 of us and most had more the one band before the end and the only ones that dint get some improvement were after a few battles were Morgans dwarves (his cd band with bull centaur was nasty) and my Orcs (one battle ripped them to shreds).
