7 games.... hummm not this old debate again,
the only possible way to do this, would be EARLY start on the saturday.
9am sharp, should be all wrapped up by 6 / 6.30 then
thoughts?

If it was a VERY prompt 9am start i would be up for that, the only issue I ever had with the 4 in one day was finishing very late and it eating into our party time

Could you have all rosters put in beforehand to speed up the draw and minimize the process on the morning? Would also lend itself to more friday night banter.

rosters in before hand would be good and would be best kept secret so's to avoid last minute race changes **cough rank protection geoff cough***

could say register with names and races. and draw is done friday night, to improve the banter?
I can post on TFF on the friday night and then everyone kust turns up at 9 and kicks off?
barring drop outs, cant see this being a problem. I will be acting a spare man anyway.

I'll probably be back for more.
Let's hope it doesn't snow again if it's a prompt 9am start!

I'm up for 7 games, though along with others not at the expense of party time in the evening. Pizzas last year was a good idea to stop us losing an hour as everyone leaves the pub to find lunch.
Friday draw is a good idea to get things rolling. Lots of time is lost in the morning waiting for everyone to turn up before the draw can be made.

This! A sandwich delivery for lunch will save muchos time? Also not letting Pippy play might also be an idea to speed things up.mattwhile wrote:Could you have all rosters put in beforehand to speed up the draw and minimize the process on the morning? I'll be coming this year, shame I missed it last time.

I'm going to try to make it, and like the idea of 4/3 games. I can play briskly, given the right team!

Pot calls kettle black shocker!
Let's hope we play again then you can save the time (and effort) by conceding the game before we even start (the inevitable outcome it seems)

I have been opposed to 7 games in the past. But vive la difference and all that, let's give it a go.
I do think you must be careful Stick to avoid two potential consequences:
1. Not encroaching into Saturday night social time (I'd say 7pm should be the absolute latest finish time). After all we're not there to just play game after game ( this isn’t fumbbl!!!

2. I know some can be a bit slow (I absolutely include myself) but there's nothing worse than games having to be finished prematurely. It's always unsatisfactory. Onus will be on the organiser to make sure the games are played in full and at a good pace.
I think it will be fine if everyone knows they have to get a move on from square one.
Obviously if snow strikes again then a rethink might be needed, but that can be played by ear easily enough.
