Hi everybody,

just found this old thread about the PC game. Does anyone know, if they´ll publish it for Mac too?

Best Regards,
Michael

There are no plans for it to appear on the Mac.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

I read somewhere (can't find the article, sorry) that for a computer game BB isn't doing that good. It's still a computer game so it's probably crushing the board game in sales figures

Entirely depends what end of the spectrum you look at, AAA titles such as modern warfare have vast sums of money put into the production and marketing and thus get a far larger take than 99% of all games out there (though nintendogs has shifted more total copies than MW2).

BB is a niche at best AA title which suffered from bad marketing and bad distribution (the xbox copy was a sham and should have been a cheaper game on the live arcade at any rate).

For cyanide BB isn't even their top game money wise (cycling manager w/e it's called sells oddly well in parts of europe) and I don't think it's done them that badly, else there wouldn't be another edition in the works (as an amusing note, many games and films nowadays are built to make more money from sequels than the initial releases so this may not be surprising).

I think it has done pretty much as expected maybe slightly better, after all if it had failed they would not be releasing legendary edition and they would not have staged that cash prize world cup either. However the game stinks, it takes so long to play and they still havent sorted out the problem with peopel disconnecting as far as I'm aware however i may be wrong as I havent played it for a long time. There are far better versions floating about. However table top local leagues is still the way the game is meant to be played and is what the rules are really written for.

They've fixed one connection issue, but there is another one that remains unfixed. Pulling the internet connection no longer works effectively, 99.9% of the time the person who pulled the plug gets a loss and you get a concession win. The current exploit is to cause a network synchronisation failure, a pop-up box will appear that asks you if you want to continue the game. You can click "yes" and the game will continue as normal, but it will NOT be recorded so once that window pops up the game is effectively null and void.
