And white for numbers and/or detailing? Or orange number on blue background?

I'll make a start on Zara once my current paint project is finished - should only be a week or so. What's the guideline on the date people needing to get their entries in by?

All on the OP - 29th Nov. White numbers seems sensible, or numbers can just go on the base.

Painting started yesterday !

Three questions for fellow painting enthusiasts:
- Anyone has a good "how-to" on NMM? The ones I've seen on CMON are a bit too vague;
- Any good tips for painting orange? First timer (for orange) here!
- I tried a couple of checkered patterns in the past and they weren't up to my expectations. Anybody has a good tutorial on that?

(Don't worry: the mini won't looked as if painted by a three year old. Just jumping onto the occasion to master some skills!)

Sorry SBG, I've never tried the NMM so I can't help you there.

I just painted my fig(I'll throw up some pics soon) and I luckily already had a set of 3 orange paints from reaper for this. But if you only have one orange paint then just mix Red/Orange for your base coat and shade from there. Adding Red to Orange makes it darker and adding Yellow makes it lighter.

OK, some unbased pics. I'll replace these with based pics when I finish the basing

The "conversion" is a plastic GW Chaos Marauder/plastic BB human hands and the tops(calf section) of the boots/greenstuffed jersey.

Look forward to seeing it. Loved the '08 figure you did. The more pics we get from people the better - helps to build cohesion, I reckon.

I totally missed this...

Can I still join ? What is needed at this stage ?

edit: I'll have a look at my spares. I'll probably throw together a lineman though. Maybe convert a Bunny thrower to a more "human" form (AV 8 instead of 7) or something else.
I wont paint the staff, someone who has more time and skill should do that.

edit: #72 plz. It'll be a thrower. Probably :D

Still #72, but I've changed my mind. It'll be a kicker, not a thrower. Still useable as a lino if needed...

Thanks !
