Re: 2010 Limited Quake Model $11/$14 inludes s&h
I just wanted to apologize for the delay on this figure, being the sculptor and Daloonieshaman's partner in running the West Coast Quake, and to let everyone know what was going on. Daloonieshaman might have jumped the gun slightly in starting to take orders when he did, but he did that because I'd given him the expectation that I would be able to produce them myself and that they'd have been done already. Unfortunately, while the results of my production attempts have improved as I'd tweaked my process in the time already gone by, the final quality still just isn't where it needs to be. Rather than putting more of my own time into it -- without a guarantee of results -- I'm turning the figure over to a professional at this point. I just got off the phone with caster and after discussing all aspects of the job, we now expect to have the final copies produced, returned to us, and in our hands ready to ship, by the end of April.
Again, my apologies for the delay -- the production delay has been my fault, so don't hold it against Daloonieshaman! I know some of you have been waiting for a month already (two months, for our actual WCQ participants) and I do feel quite horrible about that, but I appreciate your patience and hope that in end, receiving a high-quality figure after a bit of a delay will be better than receiving a sub-standard figure, faster. My thanks to everyone for understanding.
PS - In the course of the time I've taken so far, I did also make a couple of adjustments to the face, as well as having shortened the length of the microphone handle both above and below the hand... so one added effect of the delay is that the figure has improved slightly since the initial picture was posted; I'll get an updated shot up by the end of this week.

I'm not too fussed about the delay, figured it had to be cast up first and I've read somewhere it can be a lengthy process. Thanks for the explaination as to why it hasn't been shipped yet aswell kudos and I look forward to seeing the final product

Another quick update for those who've been so patient with my delays: today I've paid the caster and he's shipped the batch of figures to me! UPS has the package and I've got a tracking number, and I'm expecting to have the figures in my hands this Friday, the 7th. I'll get them over to Daloonieshaman that evening or Saturday, and he can start shipping them out.
My apologies again for the delays, and I again thank everyone for their patience. One thing I forgot to do before shipping the green off to the caster was take a new picture -- in the interim between the original posted pic and shipping her to the caster, I did make some further adjustments to her face which I feel helped improve the "more elfin, less feline" look of her, and I also shortened the handle of the microphone both above and below her hand, so it's not nearly the focal point it originally was nor blocks quite so much other detail. Overall, I think she looked far better when I sent her off than she did in the original pics, and I think the pics I've seen of the initial metal masters made by the caster looked great! New pics of the finished, cast figure will go up as soon as I have them in my hands in a few more days.

I should have the artwork for the 2011 fig at the exchange so we hopefully can post the picture on the website as well as a pic of the 2010 metal (and later a painted figure by one of you that can paint well)
as far as 2011
go over the Art
get going on the Green EARLY
provide pics of the green
Get the model cast EARLY
have someone paint it up to also show painted pics
have everything ready for 2011!
