Anyone who has 2nd ed humans for sale (as cheap as possible, cos of xmas debt hangovers

) PM or mail me... painted or unpainted - as long as mini is fine I don't care...

Means that the guy is interested and permit not to bid too much....
Try to convince the guy it might work.....

I never knew of the "first come, first serve" idea, which is based on plain luck, even more if you count the different timezones TBB-members live in.
I thought its just like: I saw it, I want it, if you want it too, PM/mail me and we check our internal high bids (=how much I want to bid at max.) and the one with the lower bid/interest backs down in order not to waste time and money.
Am I wrong?

Narkotic has it right, at least how it should work. It isn't first come, first serve. It was originally implemented to keep other TBB members from bidding against one another and having one of our own pay more than the external market (non-TBB'ers) was bidding. I think it worked better when things were a bit more cozy.

That's my point.
Its not a guaranteed everyone hands-off, bc basically everyone has the right to bid on everything he likes. Its that TBB-members organize themselves to have an advantage over others at auctions. But anyway, that doesn't help much if there is somebody out there willing to pay 800% of the normal value.
