Post by Toby »

Toby, the last rule review was in november... THey chose to make small changes only, and I'm 100% satisfied... Fixing minor bugs, taking time to think about major changes, is the best they should do for BB.
Thanks BBRC ;) !!!

well yes i agree with you a bit. ;)

well i fell like they delayed the major updates/topics, which is almost fine, so the question is... are these still in progress or is development paused for a year ?

btw it would be nice to have the experimental rules downloadable because the BB mags are simply unavailable in places like germany.

Toby, based on what you want ... you'll never be satisified with where Blood Bowl is going.

The Secret Weapon rules were published in Blood Bowl Magazine #5 as experimental ... probably will become official in November 2003 with a more expanded team list.

Star Player will always be freebooters. They aren't coming back as permanent. A few extra stars could get added, but they'll always be freebooters.

Allies. The Pact teams in Blood Bowl Magazine #3 are as good as it will get and even those rules will probably get toned down IF they become official.

Player Trades ... never will be official ... by their nature they are broken and prone to abuse by collusion.

Sorry Toby ... I've read all your posts ... I know where you want the game to go. I can tell you where it probably is going, but I'm sorry its not going to head where you'd like it to go.

Well Galak follow the Link and you will be amazed that Star Players just became permanent Roster players. Before u collapse - this is just a "Tournament play exeption rule".

Well apart from _exactly_ matching what I would consider to be cool, i just want to know if this is going to be Status Quo for some Time or if -for example- new secret weapon rules are youst around the corner.

and btw Galak the Starplayer rules suck as they are and i will come up with better ones and even u will have to use them harharhar yes now my life makes sense again ^^

You silly man*, thats the blood bowl tournament rules pack, for the upcoming grand tournament in march, thats not official blood bowl rules.

*this originally was typed as something else but i thought silly man would be less offensive

I think he was referring to league play rather than one off game systems.

Stars are official, they are in the rulebook.

The reason you pay full cost at the BB is because of the tournament format. It's equivalent to a house rule in any league.

Sorry ... I have to take the Troll bait. The all seeing eye ... Galak is wrong. Toby, every single one of my comments where related to only league play. Tournaments always have house rules (like rosters resetting after each game but somehow one player gets a skill).

Come on ... be real ... I tried to write a polite response to your question to start with. You want to claim victory over me ... find something where you actually found an error ... please ... at least Zombie when he goes at me gets it right and does it proper ... maybe you should take lessons.

Anthony NOBODY USES STARS in leagues unless its a final game or something because in League play (tournamet is also no casualties) u have better use for your money than hiring stars...

did i tell you someting new ?

Stars are officially BANNED by LRB thats how i see it.

regarding house rules we simply allow purchasing the stars and since they are so costly we dont feel any imbalynce yet - althoug they use the big guy slot when they are big guys in our house rules, which is a restriction ok.

Galak - is there a tumor in your humor ?

your politeness always sounds like "i know everything way better" - well thats fine i can life with that maybe i should allie with zombie or something. :D
