What vets club Pete?PeteW wrote:Interesting question! I go to the veteren's club on Thursdays at Warhammer World and the policy used to be a strict(ish) "GW figs only". But recently they seem to have relaxed this policy.Wormy wrote:Put me down as interested. It's a looong way off so I'll confirm and pay closer to the date.
Since this is at GW HQ can I assume the GT rule of "GW models only" applies to this one as well?
I'll try to get a definite answer though!
Think i've talked the wife into it.
Hotel wise Riverside travelodge is good for WW but the castle marina premire inn is a 5 min walk away if you don't want to pay for taxis or drive in the mornings.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Interested, but unlikely (a week before Albion, and I'm not sure how much time off I can get in the summer).

I am thinking of changing this rule so that you have to have a minimum of 11 players on your roster, including the star. This should help out elven races wondering where all their cash went.PeteW wrote:11 rostered players. plus a star.DeeTee wrote:I may have missed it in the rules but the star player requirement... is that in addition to 11 'other' players or could I have a team of 11 players including my mandatory star?
So the minimum on your team will be 12.
What do people think?

Re: The White Isle Star Bowl - Nottingham - 21/22 August 2010
This would make an enormous difference.
Comparing the 60000GC cheap star players available to Dwarves, Chaos Pact, Norse etc teams with the astonishing amounts you pay for Elven stars, on top of the expensive positionals means that a lot of teams are just not viable with the minimum of 12 rule.
Considering the size of the tournament, it would be nice to encourage lots of races. If you make it 11 including the star, you'll see a greater variety, I expect.

I think 11 plus star sounds better. Maybe it will be good for wood elves to play on the back foot for once.
