Don't worry!
I don't think anyone is coming who has played more than a handful of times!

wow did not realise how close the venue is to my in-laws place (Drove Road near the County Ground), add to the fact i am off that weekend, I cannot see why i should not be there (just have to persuade the minister of war and finance that it's a win win situation).
Was thinking of using my only Impact team. Black Widows. Any advice of what line up as have a backlog of painting to do.

Well... 120 points gives you a maximum of 8 players if you don't take any additional bits...
I'd probably take:
2 Midfielders
2 Strikers
1 Thrower
1 Hunter
2 Widowmakers (these look really nasty with tackle 5 and should be fun)
Gives you 3 'Hitty' players, 3 players with high skill and 2 All rounders.
I'd consider dropping 1 player for some cheerleaders but that's risky if you take a casualty or 2... However the momentum the cheerleaders generate is good for important things like ensuring you drop the ball carrier when you hit him.
I've never played the Widows so if anyone has feel free to step in and adjust this

Note: The Black Widows can only have one Widowmaker because she is a very nasty piece.

oops...
I was going from the excel roster, which seems to allow 2 (edit: actually it's me just being an idiot)
Take 2 hunters or another striker instead maybe?

A game's really quick, so you'd only need a spare couple of hours. Feel free to let me know if you are in Swindon and fancy a game. I'm also going to be running a demo game at the Waterbowl.Hangus wrote:Might be able to make it but never played before so will have to sort some games out.

Motivation to get my Gnolls painted! Just what I needed!
(8 player Gnoll roster: 1 Midfielder, 2 Safety, 3 Hunter, 2 Striker?)

Then you can lend them to Gav! Have updated the OP with people's likely teams, just in case people are interested.Thadrin wrote: Motivation to get my Gnolls painted! Just what I needed!

A handy excel roster is located here with the elfball rules:
http://www.impactminiatures.com/index.p ... on=elfball
A cap of 120 points is going to make things interesting... I'm going to playtest 7 players and maybe 2 cheerleaders and a potion, but I see this as a lot more risky than just sticking with 8 players.
Last test game with Mike we played Divine Wind vs. Valkyrie and attrition seemed to swing the game in my favour
Going to test the Desert Dogs tomorrow night

He - of all people - should be able to lay hands on a team for Elfball...that said, he borrowed my TH Dwarfs for Eurobowl.sann0638 wrote: Then you can lend them to Gav! Have updated the OP with people's likely teams, just in case people are interested.

That's why I like the 120 point rosters.
Cheerleaders, Potions and Bribed Referees can be a big factor to the game but if you have them at the cost of having reserve players on the bench ... its a calculated risk to have those bonuses.
