24 Hours Midwinter Madness - 30&31 January 2010 - Belgium

Post by Quermitt »

Hello guys!

Let's see if we are all as crazy as we claim to be! With the A'hof 24 Hours tournament cancelled both this year (2009) as well as next year (2010) we thought to hold a lowlands 24 hours tourney anyhow.

On the 30th of January we start gaming at 13h00 and we go on until 13h00 on the 31st ... Hopes are high to fit in eleven games. Of course there will be dinner and lunch opportunities, but no room for sleeping!!!

More details wil follow soon, but what I can already tell you is the following info:

- LRB 6.0
- NAF sanctioned
- ten to eleven games
- TR 110
- Only inducements allowed are halfling master chefs and bribes to goblin teams. All according to the official rules.
- After each game one of your players (chosen by you) gets a skill. You actually get to roll for the skill as per the normal rules (available on normal, on a double and stat increases ...).
- Of course injuries don't carry over to the next game. Zombies and rotters can be generated, but these also do not carry over to the next game.

The venue that we can use is the bar of a sports center. Correct address is Technico Sportscenter, Smiskensstraat 30 in 2300 Turnhout, Belgium. Turnhout is a bit of the radar for all you international people, it is a place very near to the Dutch - Belgian border between Antwerp and Eindhoven. Turnhout has a train station but for those of you who would be coming by plane there is the possibility of a pick-up there. Try flying to Brussels airport. For UK there is a very good Eurostar connection to Brussels as well ...

There is about room for 24 people maximum, so in case you want in, don't hesitate! I'll keep a list here so everyone can keep track of the number of places still available.

Hope to see you in January!!!

Cheers,
Seb

a) Be persuasive.
b) If you sort out the travel costs, I sort out free accomodation from Friday to Monday if you'd like.
c) Stay until Monday morning. Helps. Trust me, been there!

Very very tempted.

I like the 24 h tournaments. I survived to the A'hof 2008 and the iltalian one.

I hope to find a cheap fly to Belgium ;)

Only cost me 55 euro to fly back and forth to Bologna from Brussel South ... euhm, Charleroi airport for Eurobowl.

Of course it is with Ryan "Cattlewagon" Air then ...

More than welcome, Roller!

*ponders*... I am tempted. Problem is that it's somewhat of a birthday-infested period (the ones you can not miss out on  ) and I am propably going to need to take the monday afterwards off, but still, tempted indeed.
