First skills for Norse?
I was going to give my Blitzer Mighty Blow, thought piling on was too risky as they often find themselves in no mans land.
As for my Lineman, Pro or Tackle? Anyone got any comments?

For my 4 blitzers I went Piling On, Mighty Blow, Piling On, Mighty Blow as their first skills, though I would have thought about Dauntless, Dodge and Stand Firm if I'd roled a double.
For linemen I would go tackle, with the odd pass block and a Dirty player, unless you get a double then Guard.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

If you ever get the chance, having dodge and block on the same character is invaluable, it really doesnt matter what the character is.

Safer, it makes it safer. it's never "safe" to be prone with AV7.Zergo wrote:I'd say go with Piling on for Blitzers, as they all ahve Jump Up anyway. Makes it safe to pile on then.
And it's not that hard to get dodge, just need to burn a double to get it.

If you are playing PO after the Av roll then they still work pretty well together. A lot of the time you wont be in a position to make a block. When you are only +3 Av PO wont make a difference all the time (16/36 vs Av 8 which is the best chance) so may well remain on your feet to help in the remainder of the turn.Dangerous Dave wrote:Piling On and Guard are not a good combination
However I'd still take PO 1st as this speeds up the acquisition of other skills too.

I have been using piling on a little recently and it seems to be hurting me,
Every time i use it they foul the player , now he has a serious injury.
I cant decide if it is worth it or not.
