Not on every team no, however I've still got the same complaints about wood elves, they are already one of the top tournament sides and a ST4 wardancer is an unneeded boostmumbojumboist wrote:I think the rulespack is pretty damn good, +ST and +AG are far from no-brainers. I'm tempted by a +AG GR, but it's not an straightforward choice. Good work.
I actually went last year and played twice against woodies (a team I've played against A LOT in tournaments), not just plucking this out of thin air
I also think there is some merit in having some sort of strength of opponent coefficient for the overall individual winner. Take a strong roster and go on a team with 3 other taking weak ones and you get easier games than you would have in a straight up swiss system. Might be tricky to implement though, perhaps give extra points for wins (in team matches) if you are on tables 1-4 and scale this down every 4 tables.
after reading the thread in the discussion forum I think the name needs to be changed to the northern team spanking competition as well
at the end of the day your tournament your rules so...
hope you all enjoy it and that it is warmer than last year

I think yr right that a coefficient would be hard to work out. It doesn't always work out that strong player and top team on weak team gets easy draw.
Last year, Joe was on team Brutal Deluxe. He took Undead and we had underworld, halflings +1 other race. So, Joe was unchallenged as our #1 and we were fairly near the bottom, but he did get some tough games. Can't remember exactly who, but I think Lycos and Stick were two of his opponents.

Still laughing 15 minutes later at the image of a clockwork Wardancer in Blood Bowl, with Jimany's hand reaching down out of the clouds, winding the 'dancer up and bellowing encouraging instructions!!Jimjimjimany wrote:Someone else can use woodies. It doesn’t take much experience to turn the key in the back of a wardancer and shout go.
