NAF presidential election part II

Post by Dave »

from the NAF site:

I think I voice the opinion of the masses when I say this has taken far too long. I won't go into detail on the reasons for this but they were mainly about arranging ways to contact all the members, waiting for people to get back home from vacation and purchasing the rights to use a certain software programme.

Now the time is there.

In the upcoming days (today actually but the processing takes some time) each and every member that has an email adress on this site will get a message directing them to the elections, explaining the situation, and most importantly explain how to regain access to the site! We'll have an awfull lot of lost passwords here.

We'll allow 2 weeks for this process.
The 1st of October the elections will start all over again. We are currently exploring the precise way the elections will run, either on this site just like they used to go or via email. I'll notify you via this thread.

The elections will run for TWO weeks untill the 15th of October, 0.00:00 CET.

Timetable:

Code: Select all

now: email out
tomorrow: opening a new Q&A thread
soon: final word on the process of voting
1st of October, 0:00 CET: Start of elections
15th of October, 0:00 CET: End of elections

May I just make a comment to all NAF members. Whatever email was in the NAF site is the one where the email is going to. If you have moved jobs or now use another mail or want to use something else, you need to let us know so we can change it.

NOT on this thread please - email us at nafmembership@hotmail.co.uk if you want to change your email.

If you need a reminder of your password or a new one, a special account has been set up. lostnafpassword@hotmail.com

Two different groups of people can man these accounts and make the relevant changes.
Thanks
Dave

Ok the email has gone. If you are a NAF member and have not got the email...

first check your spam box, your inbox will not have seen the senders email address before, it may have been blocked. (I can already see many have been blocked on the report).

Over a 1000 emails are hard bounced meaning it's an old work address or unused now. Follow the instructions and contact us at the membership address and we can amend it for you. This will take us some time, this is why we have allowed a couple of weeks.

Please bear with us, there is a lot of you that will need help.
Thanks
Dave

I think the wait has helped me make my mind up, very tough to pick between the two but having extended time to mull over things has helped.

Good luck to who ever get the position.

the revote has started, please vote gentlemen (and girls)

it's in the same format as before as the other means were less 'open' in a way that we decided was not the proper way to go.

Sorry is it just me or is there a problem with the NAF website?

The link from the e-mail takes me network solutions for some strange reason.

Many thanks
Lemf

Voted. Good to have two such strong candidates to choose between.
