Nice. When is the MBBL going to start testing that version? Or have you already started?

OK all you undead fans out there,
it seems that there is no way back. "The undead team" has passed away.

However:
>0-4 Mummy 110k 3/5/1/9 Regen, Foul Appearance G/S
>0-2 Thro-Ra 70k 5/3/2/7 Regen, Sure Hands, Pass G/P
>0-2 Blitz-Ra 80k 6/3/2/8 Regen, Block G/S
>0-12 Skeleton 30k 5/3/2/7 Regen G

I like this team :)
If it was up to me I might have let them keep a single position at AG3.
But hey - it isn't up to me.
I like this roster enough that I'll take it to playtest :D

Good work Galak (and secret BBRC member)
Martin :)

I'd much prefer the version Galak has laid out. I played against a khemri team in our latest league tourney my TR was 250+ (Dwarves) his was 130ish so it was 4+1 handicaps but although he had only played 3-4 games previosuly with them they had 3 piling on mummies, I was down 6 men by the end of the game and we were playing on Lush Turf! (Neo's rules)

I was seriously miffed, and even though i won 2-0, I was in dire need of a bit of luck for round 2 against another undead team, thankfully old-style with a TR of around 160. that was an easier win for me.

3-4 piling on ST5 Mummies that then add +1 to injury from MB are to strong by far after only 3-4 games.

Foul appearance would help them still to be quite strong

4 Players on the team with foul appearance is still quite strong IMO although probably less so than Mighty Blow.

I also think that having no one with an AG 3 would put me off the team as they would really struggle to pick up the ball.

I think this combination would make them appeal only to someone who wanted to cause maximum mayhem and not worry too much about the ball. A class of player i'm not too keen to encourage :x

Looks to me like the problem is a combination of piling on and 4 S5 players to use it. I think there would be a lot fewer complaints about the Khemri is PO was "fixed".

After playing with the Khemri IMO they should drop Mighty Blow from the Mummies and leave the rest of the team as is. AG 2 on everyone sounds cute but it was hard enough with only a few re-rolls to move the ball.

I agree. Removing MB from the Mummies AND making all the other players AG 2 is too much IMO. This is apparant to me from playing with such a team in the MBBL (although the Khemri team per the BB Mag is too powerful).

That said, I don't have a problem with having an AG2 team - but then the bashing part of the game should not be made worse. My reasoning here is that to protect the ball, you need to remove players from the fight. Doing so then makes your bashing much worse.

IMO,
the bashing needs to go down, and FA for MB is the right way to go.

However, I'd keep 2 players with AG2.
Having a team rely on 4+'s for success is just too sad.

From the grapevine ... both COFAB and Necro have mixed review with the members. However, the BB Mag
#3 and #4 teams will have a full year until next October Review (2003) before anything comes up for
official.

So test, test, test, and give them feedback.
My problem here is that we should be using these teams to PLAY not TEST. It's been what, almost two years since the vamp team in BBMag#1, and this version isn't any better (in fact, wizards AND apothecaries allowed with all those ST4's and AG4's???). I am very grateful for the efforts that have been made on Fanatic's part, but it becomes frustrating when never seeming to know what team to field, as they are in a constant state of flux. It shouldn't take this long.

I believe this change really increases the importence of the Throw-Ra's for ball handling. If playing against this team I would make them the prime target of any brutality.

I think the roster Galak posted is the first Khemri Team i would accept as a commish.

Regarding the mummies the problem is not really PO+ST5, but PO+high STR+MB.

Otherwise BlackOrcs, Sauri and ChaosWarriors would all take PO as a first skill as well because the difference of +5 and +4 to an armour roll is not that important. On an average AV8 it's the difference between rolling 4 and 5 on 2d6, which changes the chance of breaking armour from 30/36 to 33/36 -> block-off-the-field-ratio (KO at least) 34.73% (ST4) vs. 38.19% (ST5).

Adding MB though, changes the block-off-the-field-ratio (KO at least) of a ST5 PO against AV8 from 38.19% to 53.47% (with ST4: 34.73% to 48.61%).

All AG2 is not that bad for picking up the ball, esp. as the Throw-Ras have Sure Hands. With that skill they'll succeed in 75% of all attempts, something a rookie AG3 team with no surehands player would dream of (66%, 87.78% with a team RR).

Not being able to dodge well might be the bigger problem for a AG2/AV7 combo, but that's good. it means you must keep the ball carrier close to the mummies and vice versa, thus limiting their damaging effects.

Way to go!
Tim.

OK,
it was a long time ago - but this thread started as a different approach to the Khemri roster.
OR to be more precise, a way to invent a new roster so that the old undead roster wasn't completely lost.
I mean - cutting a roster completely is bad news for the fans of said team.

My original suggestion was a Khmeri team sharing 95% of the old undead teams stats.

Then I got this even simpler idea:
Take the old undead roster.
Rename "Mummy" to "Flesh Golem".
Presto!

No need for playtest.
No slashing of rosters.
Simple! :)

Martin :)
(Even though I know that we're past that point now).
