Need Help Identifying "Nuffle"....

Post by Digger Goreman »

Earlier in the summer, I participated in a "gamer's yard sale" event and traded an incidental mini (a gaming father's little girl liked the pewter spider with bauble) for a miniature that I swear should represent Nuffle!

But I have no clue where it came from!

It's a non-GW Goblin;
It's main body is an iron kettle/pot;
His feet and two lower arms penetrate from the bottom of the pot;
One lower arm holds a football... the other a book;
His upper body and arms are above the kettle lip;
The upper, right hand is spread with palm forward;
The upper, left hand holds a wand with ball at end and gives the evil sign;
He wears a bone mask with longhorns and a pincer-like, bird beak.

Can you guys help me locate company and pic, please?

Without a pic it's hard, but it kinda sounds like one of the goblins from Rackham's old line.

Found it !!!!!!!!!

It's a Rackham Gobo called Eater of the brats. Seems to be the companion unit to the Fire Troll.

A German site call it the master of sulfur...

YES THAT'S IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mine has feet and I wonder if it's a modification...?

Anyway, I'm painting him/it as Nuffle, with his arsenal of DG defeating weapons: Wand of One's; curses; BB rulebook and just plain keeping the ball away from me....

I get delightfully funny looks at the gamestore when I start pointing and talking to this mini.... :lol:

No, the feet are pretty standard, it is a stand alone fig, but that was the best pic I could find.

Lucky you, I would also like to have Nuffle to force my opponents to pray to him before games....

Oh, forgot to say: "Nice Search-fu" Cyagen!

Before my last game, I'd suffered a month of really low-end dice averages and was getting a bit "miffed" during games.... That's when I decided to try an old psych trick of misplaced aggression (this time in a positive manner) by having Nuffle AT the table.... The silliness of projecting blame on the mini calms me right down and I actually get a chuckle outta him....

He even "blessed" my dice last game! :o I didn't do anything super-crazed in my coaching, but I never missed a dodge and broke armor almost routinely.... :D

I know, one day, he'll get fickle on me.... But, in the meantime, I'm going to enjoy painting him and taking him to the field! :wink:

The guy glued everything together, real well, so it's a bit of "fun" to paint... but I'm getting it done....

Nice pic of parts (btw)!

I admire Confrontation's dedication to their sculpting art: The nails on Nuffle protrude past the fingertips and have grooves and uneven ends.... That's impressive....

Yes but now they are making money. Before that they were almost bankrupt.

By the way, if someone was Nuffle to spare, I'm interested in trading or buying it.

That's good to hear Digger, once you fall in step with Nuffle, and not berate him/her/it on every dice roll, your Blood Bowl experience is a whole lot better.

Um, since the move to plastic they actually went into bankruptcy protection and had to be bailed out by an investment group.
