Well first... you need to buy the team.... After that, once out on the field you get the ball and run with it until you score... If you don't have the ball, pound the other player who does, pick it up and run with it... That simple really.

easy just 2 points to do:

1) Tear apart your team roster
2) Take another race

Have to save thats a nice starting team. Leaves room for team development but leaves you the RRs which you're probably going to need. And not a power team but definitely a team you can play alright.

I'd go 3 RRs and an extra Ghoul. One Ghoul is a target. It's a nice gambit if you make it through the first game and buy a new Ghoul straight away though.

General tactics: Common or Garden running team. Use your Mummies close together to block holes and roll a cage through. It's all pretty intuitive.

I have just finished painting my Undead team and I'm considering one or two lineups.

1 x Vampire
2 x Wights
1 x Mummy
3 x Skeleton
5 x Zombie
4 x Re-roll
1 x Fan Factor

Or

2 x Wights
2 x Mummy
3 x Skeleton
5 x Zombie
1 x Ghoul
4 x Re-roll
1 x Fan Factor

This is for a one off game so not a lot of need for fans...

Any suggestions?

I'm about to try out a new Undead combination using no mummies, but 4 wights, 3 ghouls and the rest just skellies. I'll let you know how I get on.

I was limited to the contents of the old box set, but I have just picked up two more Wights, so that lineup is quite possible (as soon as I get them painted)

I started an undead Team with

2 Mummies
3 Whights
3 Ghouls
2 Skeletons
2 Zombies

2 RR
6 FF

I had my problems playing against TR 170+ Teams in the beginning but now being only 30 Points behind the others it works quite fine.
I wouldn´t like starting with less than 2 Whights and 2 Ghouls because in my first 4 matches one of each died and being without fast players makes scoring really hard.

Hope this helps a bit.

I'm getting started with Undead myself (6 games) so far, but one thing I can say for sure is do not play with less than 3 rerolls, period.

My roster for starting:
2 Mummies
2 Wights
3 Ghouls
3 Zombies
1 Skeleton

3 RR
7 FF

My thinking was to get as many Ghouls as I could, since they're the relatively vulnerable players on my team, and some of the more important.

I tried this version at the Pandemoniam cup in Toronto this weekend and it worked pretty well until my dice completly fell apart on me.

2 Mummies
4 Wights
4 Zombies
2 Skeletons

3 Rerolls
5 Fan Factor
The wights are just as good as the Ghouls at handling the ball and they lend the extra stability to the team in regards to surviving a game.

For league play I'd drop one of the zombies to up the FF to 8 and let the team develop from there.

Whooooo no ghouls, but ghouls are excelent runners and dodgers, and ghouls are the only ones in a undead team who have acces to agilty skills so I would at least advise 1 or 2 ghouls, ok wights are also good I agree but ghouls are the scoring force on a undead team!!!!

I do a totally different undead team:

1 mummy
1 wight
10 zombie/skel (mix and match to your taste)

6rr
9ff

you suck for a few games, but once you get a few more position players you are awesome with 6 rerolls....buy as many rrs and ff as you can when you make the team...that's the big advantage of undead...that and regen.

My way has 12 players with regen and LOTS of $$ leftover for ff and rr...and sure they're slow but they are all st3.

Plus you can foul a bit more even when the ref is watching you...you have a bench (how many other tr 100 teams can say that), and, even if you get kicked out, it's only a skeleton! :)

Just some food for thought! :)
