OK, now I'm going, I'm taking my Skaven, but is it worth taking Hakflem or Headsplitter? I've never played with either of them so I'd like some info from experianced coaches.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

The reason is simple, halflings are one of the creatures people have more pity of, but H Elfs are stupid, proud, and easy to smash. Mmmm why don't you try H. Elfs again?Deathwing wrote:Ha, but there are guys going to be going for highest NAF ranked 'fling coach...both 'fling teams at Spiky finished 3-3 and above my woeful Helfs..

I would certainly not take Headsplitter - he is very expensive and limits too much how much you have to spend on re-rolls and gutter runners etc.
Hakflem is a matter of choice. I have played games where he was (imho) a waste of money whereas in other games he was a real play-maker and game saver. Play some test games and see what you think.

i've only got 13 of the little blighters anyway so i'm having to fill out the positions with treemen. anyway they give a nice rounded feel to the game anyway.
and if you really want to get mauled by the small and insignificant hands of the halflings then by all means i'll play you.
p.s. this is my first competition like this and so i don't know what to expect except having a good laugh and a few more beers, maybe even falling down.

Expect plenty of laughs, cursing and general blaming on weighted black blocking dice.Evil Git wrote:McDeth

But overall making some great new friends.
I've got a feeling that the games will be drawn completely randomly, but if not i'll hound you out for that match up. 3 Treemen against 3 Mummies and a Vamp, should be bruising.
