Who here cheats?
I mean following every rule, even ones that require effort. Does everyone who takes an apoth, cheerleader, or additional coach use a painted citidel fig?
I realize many people play with bare metal, but the rules clearly state the extra guy need to be modeled and painted. My regular group really loves BB, so its never a problem, but what about the less devoted? You guys often run into this issue?

Come on that isn't an official rule.... its GW trying to sell more minis.
Of course its best to have painted minis - which I do. But.... do I have minis for ACs, Cheerleaders and Apoths - nah. They would just clutter up the table.
Cheating is when you deliberately avoid a rule which both players have agreed is part of the game - or when you wait to make a BH roll and then declare a blitz.

Heck i dont even make sure im using gw mini's at all unless im going to a tournament. Painting is done sometime during the season. I rarely start with the starting team all painted.

Come on,
Come on, how many people here play warhammer or 40K
My friends and i have fielded half an army consisting of 25 squares of paper(regiments) and a small block of polystyrene(steam tank) the only drawback is that you sometimes forget that the block of polystyrene is a tank, not scenery. There is nothing quite so demoralising as realising that while your knights are conveniently hidden from cannon fire by the block of polystyrene, they are also less conveniently in base to base with a steamtank.
I have been playin these games since i was 14 and until this year i had never used an army greater than 1500points with all the correct minis, all painted.
I spose there is a first for everything but it will be a cold day in hell before i purchase cheerleader or assistant coaches (my cheerleader looks a lot like a howling banshee)
I just dont have the cash to buy minis that arent putting out on the field.

I have 3 teams painted for teams I play, and have 5-6 others painted that friends use, but we dont worry about coaching staff or cheerleaders, although I do have 4 cheerleaders for my amazon team cause they're hot!!

Whatever gets a game in....
The joy of miniatures is the painted product....
The joy of the game is the game....
Unless a GW troll is watching me every minute (and he'd better have a big club) I'll use the best available and convenient manner of representing my staff, etc....
I only expect my opponents to play the game....
I don't give a fig if they can't, or won't, paint....

On a related point, does anyone actually buy cheerleaders for their team?
I don't use figures for Apoths or AC most of the time (and I certainly haven't managed t opaint any yet) but I do have more cheerleader figures than I have ever needed

The short answer is "no", but it is a qualified "no" because there are odd ways of interpreting the question which could justify the answer "yes".
