I know there are a lot of teams that need updating, and I had the idea that they should just plan to do the teams at the same time as they do the armies. They are doing sculpts of new lizard men right now, why not do the new team at the same time.

They would still have to do some catching up to get the teams looking 6th edition (warhammer) but from here on it would make sense.

In my humble opinion, they should take a few steps backwards and make them look like 2nd edition (blood bowl). This is a fantasy sport game - the ideal figure looks like a player of fantasy football. Not like the 3rd ed longbeards, for example, that look like dwarven warriors without axes.

While the new catcher is nice, I realy do not like the other new elves.

The current elves at least look like what they are named, i.e. whitelion, dragonwarrior, witch elf, ect... Those, just look like fancy pants humans with somthing funny growing on their heads.

That's exactly what I don't like about the current High Elves. :) Why can't they call them what they are, it is a sports team afterall.

I have to agree with Anthony, I liked it better when they just called each position catcher, thrower, lineman, blitzer, without regard to race of the team. No need to follow the WFB naming as this is a different game. BTW I like the look of the new elf minis and I plan to get a set whenever they are released.

I have to second that, I hate the wierd names. I NEVER call my skaven by their new titles, they will always be catchers, throwers, blitzers, and in the one small deviation that I find to be ok, linerats.

I totally agree to you all - the second edition minis look much nicer (maybe because they look like Bloodbowl Player and not like WHF Minis that lost their weapons ...)

To bring back the old position names would be a great boon in my eyes. All in all more of the old sports-fluff would be very nice ...

Can anyone remember the old White Dwarf magazine where the 2nd edition was first introduced ? It was an article over a few pages and is really awesome ... that's the stuff Bloodbowl really needs
