Chaos needs to be changed....

I think the team is balanced and everything. I just don't feel like it being a chaos team. It feels like a beastmen team with chaos warriors allies. I think three should be two(maybe three) new chaos teams. Beastmen, Chaos warriors, and maybe demonds. Like maruders could be on the chaos team and the mintour could only be on the beast men team. ANd so on what does everyone else think

I agree with you, and some alternatives were printed in the Journal many moons ago, but the idea doesn't seem to be very popular here and it seems GW has no intention of changing it any time soon.

On a side note, some PBeM leagues have the various chaos teams you suggested , MBBL/MBBL2 for example. Might be worth checking out.

I tried some of those journal teams, and got quite fond of the beastman one, if I remeber correctly the Bestigors were very Nice indeed.
I wouldnt mind seeing split chaos teams, but aint really bothered if it doesnt happen.

I voted for the 3 chaos teams, for a lot of reasons, but I would like to see it like an option, not like 3 "closed" roster teams, ie I'd like to see some options like 0-1 daemon OR 0-2 Chaos Servants (Nurgles Rotters, Bloodletters, ...), 0-2 Chaos Warriors OR 0-2 Bestigors, 0-12 Beastmen or 0-12 Marauders, which should allow you to keep the actual roster (you would just have to remove Chaos Servants with Chaos Warriors), or allow you to make original mixes 4 beastmen, 4 marauders, 2 Chaos Warriors, 2 Chaos Servants, 1 dameon, and so on.

We've been doing the 3-way split for quite a while, and have gotten a lot of playtest on our 3 rosters. (We're not doing the CJ versions).

Notice that beastmen/marauder teams are very similar to the old chaos team, ensuring that no fans of the chaos team will be robbed of their favourite team.

Don't really mind if it's two or three.

WOuld prefer this for fluff and new mini's

I wouldn't be surprised if new teams do come, following WFB

The current team is fine - it's nicely balanced against the other standard races. It's ok to add more teams, but make sure you don't lose the standard one (4 CWs + 12 beastmen).

Just for flava Ive always wanted two seperate teams. What Ive never wanted to see and all too often happens is people try to make teams different by giving out a bunch of skills and declaring them "different". I think thats stoopid. The "random" skills for Marauder linemen?!?! Dumb! Heaping DP on the Ungors?!?! Whatever......Let ME decide how I want my team to proceed by giving me mostly skilless players. Just change the stat line and availability of different players, I can play games and make them what I want

Something should be done with Chaos. But I don't like the poll options.

I have a chaos player in my league, and he's is a chaos fan all the way.

We have started some work diving up the chaos teams.
We have 3 elf teams, soon there will be 2 undead teams, there are several human teams.

We are thinking of splitting them into the different chaos aspects, Khorne, Nurgle, SLaneesh and Ttzcheench (or however the word is spelled)

Khorne teams would be something like this:
1 - 4 Khorne Chaos Warriors 6 4 3 9 Frenzy 120K
1 - 4 Beastmen 6 3 3 8 Horns 60K
1 - 12 Chaos Cultist 6 3 3 8 50K
RR 70K

Nurgle Teams
1 - 4 Nurgle Chaos Warriors 4 4 2 10 Foul Apperance 110K
1 - 4 Beastmen (etc)

And so on.
Big guys could be a demon, Flesh Hound, plague Bearer and so on.

We haven't worked through it yet, but a complete list will be suggested later.

Other ideas would be appreciated.
