Count be a count problem, could be something else. I'd need to see the message.log file. If you still have it email it to me at skijunkie@collegeclub.com. If not, and you see this again, save the messages.log file and email it to me. Thanks.

I got this bug report in an email a few days ago. I deleted the email so I don't know who it came from. I can't get the collapse rolls not to happen for me. What I really need is the "messages.log" file from such a game. If anyone sees this problem email me the messages.log file after you close the program. (I would be most helpful if you can email the matching log file from your opponent as well.)Game started off with Very Sunny. After first TD was scored, it became Sweltering Heat. A second TD was scored, but the collapse rolls were not made. Another TD was scored, and again no rolls. Kick off for 2nd half, no rolls. 4th TD scored (first in second half) and this time, there are collapse rolls!

Hey, Ski ... your @college email has been full for days now as I've been trying to send you a reply about your icon question you sent to Nick ... just an FYI that neither Nick or I can respond to your query.'
Also bug report on Javabowl:
Throw TeamMate does not allow you to throw to the square with the ball. The ball does not make the square occupied so it should be a legal square to throw a Flling or Goblin to.
Galak

Doh! Thanks for letting me know. I did some serious cleaning and it should be open again. Anyone that has tried to send me mail in the past few days should re-send it. Sorry about that.Hey, Ski ... your @college email has been full for days now as I've been trying to send you a reply about your icon question you sent to Nick ... just an FYI that neither Nick or I can respond to your query.'
Hmmm....I'm almost thinking I did that on purpose to get it done faster but I can't remember.Throw TeamMate does not allow you to throw to the square with the ball. The ball does not make the square occupied so it should be a legal square to throw a Flling or Goblin to.

There is a new 4.7 patch on the same download page as the original game download.
Main:
http://www.geocities.com/javabbowl/
Mirror:
http://javabbowl.no-ip.org/
The 4.7 patch updates some of the auto roster updating. Adds lotz of new player icons and an option to turn them off. A few other things and bug fixes.
NOTE: It seems the new animated icons can use quite a bit of processor time even when not being displayed. If you notice to much processor use just disable the new icons.
Download the "patch4_7.zip". Unzip the contents to the original install directory. It will overwrite the "bbowl.jar", "readme.txt" files.

There is a new 4.8 patch on the same download page as the original game download.
Main:
http://www.geocities.com/javabbowl/
Mirror:
http://javabbowl.no-ip.org/
The 4.8 patch includes all new 28x28 player icons for both the red and blue teams. Plus a few other things and bug fixes.
NOTE: 99% of the icons are no longer animated, so you should see much much less processor usage.
Download the "patch4_8.zip". Unzip the contents to the original install directory. It will overwrite the "bbowl.jar", "readme.txt" files.

And accordingly, there's a new 4.8 patch for the Mac OS X app at http://witwatl.net/luke/javabbowl. This passes the -Xint parameter which seems to make things a little more stable on 10.2.x.SkiJunkie wrote:There is a new 4.8 patch.

Found a strange bug in version 4.8 (BTW Great!!!). If you select a pass action, then change your mind and select a block, you can block every player that was in range of the pass, and if you follow up you are teleported to the location of the blocked player. Star Trek Blood Bowl, anyone?
(It was a local game)

Look, I beat Ski!
There is a new 4.9b patch on the same download page as the original game download.
Main:

The compile mac .app is up at http://witwat.net/luke/javabbowl/.
I also extracted all the classes from Ski's .jar and made a new one in FreeBSD. I'm not sure if it will even make any difference, but you never know, it could help with some of the Linux display issues.
