You do mean that that price is insanely reasonable don't you? 75 Euro for a 12 player roster with some nice markers, all of which look very well painted, seems like a decent, if not low, price for that team.

I think he is saying that it is insane that a recasted unpainted star player will sell for more than a 12 man team with a very good paint job. He thinks that the pro painted teams aren't selling for as much as they should be.

Just checking.

If you're right, then so is he.

Just occasionally an auction will get out of hand. Does make you wonder sometimes. Its certainly the reason why you should have an upper limit and never go over it. In all liklihood another one will come along soon, probably cheaper (recent chat about first ed. Ogres being one example. Someone paid 50 quid for one, a week later I paid half that....which is far closer to the usual price for one.)

Olaf got my reaction correct.

I was indeed saying that the price for the wood elf team was insane low in comparison of single (recasted?) figures that are not even that rare.

Check this out.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... ON#GALLERY

I bought a Hack Enslash a while ago for about £30, I thought that was a bit over the top but I wanted the model (and in light of this thread I'm now a little concerned it may have been a re-cast).

And this....

The prices have now gone through the roof

What this proofs to me is that certain people really think that those figures are really worth those prices just because two people just went over the top for that figure.

Those figs were one year ago still for sale in GW shop and now they went multiplied 10 times pricewise. Come on and stay real.

This is just hoping that someone is really convinced that this is the selling price.

Maybe this is GW's new way of making money? Stop selling figs individually, then set up accounts on eBay and sell the figs for inflated* prices?

Kidding? maybe, maybe not.

* More inflated than normal I mean.

If you bought your Hack Enslash from the same seller that sold these I wouldn't worry. Have a look at what Galak has to say and then the seller responds as well on this topic here:

So not everyone is a recaster.

Looks like a case of 2 people really wanting a mini. Heck, there are still 7 days to go in those 2 auctions!

OK, my wrong, I thought it was "buy it now" prices. I thought the seller was getting greedy but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Those are actually bids that people did???? :o :o

When you see bid history it seems that two people (the same two for those auctions) are in a bidding war for those two items.

Maybe Bill Gates and Richard Branson have found a new hobby
Collecting Bloodbowl figs.

Maybe I should offer them my collection and buy an isle somewhere

If GW ever pull their heads out of their collective arses, there's going to be some pretty pi$$ed "collectors".

You know Darkson, I think you've just come up with the PERFECT argument for the big GW bosses to bring all the star players back
