frogbear wrote:Is there anyone else out there that got the bum steer from 'dwarfcoach' regarding an agreed on price for a mini that you have seen go to ebay instead?

Just interested to know if mine is an isolated incident

Thanks

Im sure this is an isolated case for dwarfcoach, a perfectly honest a friendly chap that many off us have shared a pint or 2 with at tournament, and bought stuff from before with no problem.

For you frogbear it may well not be an isolated case, as i recall your the only person ive ever had try to haggle me on postage

*shakes head*

If asking whether you would consider a cheaper postage option is haggling, then I give up. Then again, did I even ask that or just send you a counter offer to your price? I forget and have no history of it in my sent box.

Haggling is what trading is all about. I remember the people that traded good deals with me, and I will be sure to look out for them in the future. There is one fellow (pianodan - ausbowl) who I am just itching to send a free mini to just because I feel that I did too well on a deal that I only realised after the fact.

You made your point about dwarfcoach. Fair enough. But to try and discredit me for no reason? That is really uncalled for.

I feel that I am beyond reproach with all my trades and sales to all people. Just because we do not come to an agreement - as both agree not to trade (yes, we actually talked), how is that a reason to pretend that I attempted to haggle on postage?

I will take it as an isolated incident and I understand that you are standing up for a mate. fair 'nuf. Lets keep the 'fairytales' out of the discussion.

In all fairness, I think you may be the pot calling the kettle black here. You've come into Dwarfcoach's "for sale" thread and suggested he's not a fair or honest trader without posting any proof, while he has a bunch of active auctions going, and I find your post pretty distasteful. What makes your post a reasonable question, and the rebuttal a fairytale? Perspective? If so, a bystander with no dealings with either of you has no way of sharing that perspective.

The OP has stated that he didn't feel he got fair offers on his stuff and he's put it out to auction, hopefully to find a reasonable price. It sounds like you lowballed him and he put his stuff out to the open market, which seems fair enough to me. Your post comes off as sour grapes.

And, to be clear, I've never met the OP or his mate, I've just done a fair bit of online trading, and your post in this thread would see you in hot water with the admins on most of the sites I've traded on.

How about we all stop this now before this becomes a flaming war, and the admins arrive and lock this all down?

Sounds to me like a wee bit of crossed wires and miscommunication. Lets all kiss and make up shal we?

Dude

Look at the facts of a previous thread:

1. Asked for offers
2, Gave an offer
3. At end of week came back to me stating that I gave the highest offer and was happy to progress
4. agreement made to see what went on ebay later that week to see what else I would buy to help save on the postage.
5. The item that was agreed on hits ebay

So where is the 'lowballing' from me that you are referring to as a bystander?

Look. No-one is going to 'win' this. In fact, we are all losers in the end. I did what I set out to do. If it were to ever happen to anyone else again, they could refer back to history. History is important.

This thread is dead IMO. Reply as you will.
