Wasn't talking about telling GW, they can watch their own back if they think it's important.

But some people don't want recasts.

Some people don't want to pay as much for recasts.

And some people don't care.

The first two would be served by a list.

Tried to start a list ages ago dave, and no body gave a sh1te!!!

Being a collector, yes i want to know who is selling recasts. Not saying recasters should be lynched. I just hate the fact that they recast and then sell as if they were originals. If i had 1 of each fig as originals, then i would quite happily buy recasts as extra's to fill a roster, but i want to know if i'm buying a recast so i can adjust my final offer

Well if GW ain't going to produce the minis, then I say good luck to the re-casters out there.

As long as they are top quality, then who gives a rats arse?

Frankly, I would spend my money with the re-casters if I thought I could get bulk loads of minis (epic minis as an example) for less than GW or at all.

Either have the decency to uphold your game and the hobby to the satisfaction of the fans, and at decent prices, or deal with the consequences.

Hell, I would mould myself - for myself, if I could be bothered and find out how - once again, I need to be bothered.

Can we please also have the name of this supposed ebay 're-caster'? My interest has been stroked.

Cheers......

Necessary evil was the line I took there. Not a re-cast fan, but I needed a Zara.

On the plus side, outbid, so no re-cast for me :) (on the downside, no Zara either).

If it makes you feel any better it went out of my price range too. In the end it sold for GBP$15.15. After shipping it would have been close to AUD$40, which is more than I'm prepared to pay for it at the moment.

Frogbear, I'm assuming everyone is referring to this guy. As others have pointed out, he seems to sell a lot of Star Player models.

Personally I'm not sure about recasts. On one hand, I'd just love to get a hold of the OOP models. On the other hand, if I'm going to be paying AUD$30+ for a model I think I would like to get an original. If I knew a seller was selling recasts I would probably still bid on them but I don't think that I would bid as much for them as an original.

Hi!

I have some starplayers which are OOP and they are still in their blisters. Does that mean that I'm going to get more money for them as for sure they aren't recast? Or does that only mean that people are going to trust me more, because they are original?

I registered on ebay some days ago and people have recommend me to buy first some miniatures in order to get some positive valorations, which will help me to sell better.

What do you think?

About the recasters, I would like to know who they are, so that when I'm bidding for a figure, I know that they are not original, so that even if I'm interested in them, I want to pay less then.

Unfortunately the most this means is that bidders will be able to sleep happy that their bid has been placed on an original model and not a recast. :-? Personally speaking, I would always be happy to bid that little bit extra on a BNIB mini in that knowledge, but sadly that doesn't always translate to all bidders and all models.

I didn't buy anything before I sold, but can understand why folks would recommend that course of action.

I too would like to know who is a confirmed or strongly suspected recaster as I would not purchase from them at the same price as original minis went for.

This guy seems to be the exact same person as the previous caster I listed. He uses the same pictures as the other guy in his listings and he has quite a few sales for the same BB star players over and over again.

I'm not 100% certain but I think this guy is a caster as well. He doesn't seem to be the same person as the previous 2 I have listed though.

He has sold quite a few of the same BB star players over and over again and the pictures don't seem to change either.

Can anyone tell me if this guy is a caster or not. I'm not sure from checking his recently sold items if he is or not.

Did you receive a second chance offer for Zara like I did? I don't think I'll be taking mine up.

Here's one I would steer clear of if you don't like recasts...

Funnily enough, I did receive a 2nd chance offer. That's not suspicious at all

Not taking it up. I'll find a Zara somewhere else.

Yeah, I linked to him a couple of posts earlier. He seems to be the same guy as the first one I linked to.

Not saying anything about this instance but I often use 2nd chance to clear multiple spares without paying twice the listing fees...
