I'm planning to sell some miniatures on ebay, but I haven't used ebay, neither for buying nor for selling. So I need a little help. can you please explain me how to do it and if I have to pay something?

Setting up a username is the same as anywhere else. You obviously managed to set up an account here so eBay is going to be pretty much the same.
You have to pay fees to list things on eBay, and further fees if the item sells.
They prefer it if you use a credit card which is then automatically debited at the end of each month according to you number of sales.

The communication emails often run to twenty or so during listings, especially when new bids are submitted or your auctions are due to close. On the plus side of this, you cannot fault their communication regarding the state of your auctions.
If you have a Paypal account then any payment or delivery issues can be more easily resolved with the one company than if there were two separate entities.
Overall I have found them to be a good place to trade, given the effective witnesses you have to the agreements between the seller and purchaser.
Their follow-up emails on your enjoyment experience are truly American in their outlook, but hey, them's the breaks.
Some parts were confusing to me initially, particularly when they posted alerts to my message inbox about the expiry date on my credit card. That was sorted out, but the alert couldn't be removed until I had actioned it. ihmo a gentle reminder email would have been more effective, but I guess they have to cater to the lowest common denominator.

1) Download Turbo Lister 2 from Ebay and use it to create your auctions in advance. That way they all start and finish around the same time and it lessens the amount of physical time you need to spend creating them.
2) Set them up as 10 day auctions starting on a Thursday afternoon. That way they finish on a Sunday afternoon when more people are at home near their computers - so you get more visibility. It also means the auctions run over two whole weekends so you'll get more people see it that way too. Sometimes Ebay has free listing days on Thursdays so it can be cheaper too. If you can't list them on a Thursday, list them on a Sunday afternoon with a 7 day auction.
