The tournament was awesome! (sadly, my performance wasn't)
Even though I lost my first 5 games, I can happily say that they were all fantastic. Thank you to all my opponents for being great sports, and laughing out my bad luck with me.
A big thanks to HornedDwarf for rising to my bet in game 5, and subsequently losing and owing me a pint for not CASing 10 goblins with his dwarfs (he only got a pitiful 9). Also to Snotslinga the mad for leaving the ball unmarked next to his TD line when recieving, allowing me my only one turn TTM TD of the tourney from kicking (and only TD of a 4-1 game).
A bigger thanks to Schmee for running a fantastic game of dungeonbowl, which I had never played before (3 turn win! Go goblin pogoer!). Though I think we all agree that someone should check where the orange ball starts next time
Kudos to Shaniepoo for getting enough players through the right teleporter in a single turn to scare the hell out of me.
Finally, I want to thank the organisers. I loved every minute of the tournament (except the 45th out of 46 bit), and will most definitely be attending again next year. Though I'm promising myself that I'll place higher then

Had a great weekend thanks to Pip, Schmee and the guy behind the bar
Well what can i say... My ability to roll double skulls and 1's on my GFI's twice (waisted use of re-rolls) is getting more and more regular
After starting off in the middle of the rankings it didnt take me long to end up on the bottom of the list. That said there were a few up's to the games. Tentacles actually managed to hold up 3 players for about 4 turns in more than 1 game, Foul appearance stopped some vital block against me and my 5 disturbing presence players actually made an impact now and then.
Thanks to Snotslinga for the 3-0 pasting that sent me into the dungeon bowl, and also more making me pull the funnyest face (so im told) when he lied and told me that his player with the ball who was surounded by 7 players had Leap. But Haha she fell on her arse on the TD line after a failed GFI
Ahh the dungeon bowl...Gobbo may have go the TD but i caused 1st blood!!!!!
Most memorable momenst:
* Tritex taking out 3 Treemen and Puggy within 3-4 turns of the 1st half
* The long talk about how the 'Bearded'Snot' should be re-named 'Porn bowl - The NAFs Nuts!'
* Snotslinga's mate (was it Matt?) singing to the bargirl 'Hello Hello...this is Hartlepool!' and almost getting kicked out of the pub for it.
* Having my leg rubbed under the table at the meal

Thanks to all for a great weekend had a real blast. Special thankyou's to all my opponents who were all top notch guys.
Shane, it was only 6 players dont exaggerate
(although the leap was genuine, but you do all the hard work and then. . . sigh!).
Also cheers to pug for running me and matt around.
Congrats to all the winners and a superbly organised tournament

Well seeing as it was my first proper game of Bloodbowl, not just my first tournament i think coming 21st wasnt a bad showing, even if diving catch on a werewolf was not a good idea.
I must say i enjoyed it. Its a lot more casual than my regular WFB tournaments.
If this tournament is anything to go by then i shall hopefully become a regular attendee of bloodbowl tournaments.
I'd like to thank everybody i played as they were are very helpful and extremly patient with me. If i cant remember your name (NAF name or otherwise) then i appologise.
1st game - Fingermouse
2nd game - Thechosengobbo
3rd game - Sib
4th game - Paul (sorry i cant remember your name)
5th game - The guy who came in last (sorry again)
6th game - The skaven guy who rolled the worst dice ever seen.

ah yes, pesky halflings was the first draw (hangs head) the little buggers killed 6 elves too!!!
great game candlejack, a true end to end game! in hind site i should have just passed to my runner so i could have dumped off (ewwww) instead of trying to score again but a draw was the farest result i think!

Ok, finally some quite after the storm so I can now properly talk (even if late) about this great Monkeybowl.
As already said, huge thanks first to the Spencelayh family, Bren and Schmee for being so friends to me, and their wonderful parents who host me and feed me in their house (and take a long way to the venue sunday just to bring me to the Andy Capp statue... yes I did it!!! -and yes I discover it through Aramil, no secret here -)
Then Geoff, for being, once and once again, my great driver and host...
Huge thanks then to Steve for helping out in the tourney, taking care of the location and of our thirst. Irreplaceable
Then my opponents...
Luke: maybe we were both suffering hangover, as we made one ridicolous error each
Shaniepoo: dice on my side, dwarves not afraid of stinking foul appearance...
Harriet: loved to use rerolls... mmmmhhh... good jelly hamburgers
Don_Vito: sorry, the apotheosis of the chainsaw. In 2 turns he got 2 wolves ko and a ghoul and a golem killed. Chiansaw made 3 blocks and 4 foul never rolling 1 on kickback or doubles on fouls...
Geoff: the apotheosis of the chainsaw - the revenge. Never had the chance to use it in 8 turns... but nice to play him for the first time
Dave: the so long waited match!!! In 4 years we played tons of times in side tables, but never at the same one. One half each and the tournament gone for both.
Then thanks to everyone else, from the ones i knew better to the newly mets, for being there and being a great company for the weekend. Special thank goes to Candlejack, Gorbad and mon capitain Longshot for don't let me be the only foreigner (fake scots or polish doesn't counts
), but leaving me the more travelled award anyway
Finally, a big hurray for the waitress at Joe Rigatoni and the 21 birthday girl at KJT on friday night.
And, before I forget, a big HOOOOORSE!!!! to all the new and old members of the club... we are growing guys!!!
This year I had the excuse to defend my title to come; next year I'll have the one that I want to regain it... Blitzwing advised...
