EUROBOWL 2008 SPAIN 1-2 NOVEMBER; TEAMS FIRST POST

Post by kewan »

It’s a pleasure for us to announce the Eurobowl V.

The tournament will be held in spain during the first weekend of November (1 & 2, november 2008).
We’ve chosen a house lost in a little forest close (60 km aprox) to Barcelona (and also 100 km aprox from girona’s airport).

We get a closed price for all the weekend, 140€ (145€ if you pay by paypal) and this pack includes: Accommodation for friday & saturday night. And also friday dinner; saturday breakfast, luch and dinner and sunday breakfast and lunch. Of course, there is a Spanish surprise, you can drink all the beer as you wish, also, cokes, fanta and similar. If you want to stay one more night (for those people that gets the flight on monday morning), the price of the pack is 170€ (176€ if you pay by paypal) and includes the sunday dinner and accomodation, and monday breakfast.
You only have to bring is bath towels for shower. There're also a soccer/basketball pitch if you want to play at any time. The swimming pool we think there will be closed at november.

Due to the nature of the ‘house’ we’ve reserved enough beds for each nation. We’ve reserved 30 more beds because we think there could be some people interested in attending to the event, but this extra space is limited and will be allocated in payment order. If you’re sure you want to attend, please, contact us.

We also have enabled an email address where you can remit all doubts you can have. Feel free to send questions or suggestions to eurobowl@tbbl.org

Still working on the web site.

All attending people (players & non players) have to had paid 1 month before the tournament. We can't accept payment done by paypal, but you can give the money to one Spanish Team member (it’s easy to found some of them in many European tournaments).

We expect that all team captains conctact with the Spanish Team captain (Lupus) at this email: jllobet@gmail.com o by pm to coordinate all teams, accomodations & know all the team's members.

So… remembering…

As from Wiki:
A Welsh Kilt (Welsh: Cilt) is a type of kilt worn in Wales and by Welshmen. Although not considered a traditional component of Welsh national dress, the kilt has become recently popular in the Celtic nations as a sign of Celtic identity. Kilts and tartans can therefore also be seen in Cornwall, Devon, the Isle of Man, Brittany, the Tras-os-Montes region in the North of Portugal, and Galicia in Spain, as well as England, particularly the North East and South West. Nowadays with Welsh nationalism on the rise and a resurgence of Welsh national pride, kilts (or cilts in Welsh) are being worn more and more by Welshmen.

The St David's Tartan or brithwe Dewi Sant is one of the most popular tartans in Wales, but individual family tartans are being produced, despite there being little evidence that the Welsh (or any other Celtic nation for that matter) traditionally used tartan to identify families. Williams, Jones, Thomas, Evans, and Davies are among the most popular tartans and common names in Wales. The Welsh National tartan was designed by D.M. Richards in 1967 to demonstrate Wales' connection with the greater Celtic world. Its colours (green, red, and white) are the colours of the Welsh national flag.

Although they are generally seen these days in formal settings like weddings, there has been an increase in the number of people wearing their kilt to a rugby or football match, paired with a jersey rather than a formal jacket.
Either way you lose big man!!!

Eurobowl is usually eight players - it was six for the World Cup, don't know why but it was.

Hi, kewan.

Is this tournament limited to one team per nation, or can each country send multiple teams, such as England A, England B and such?

Thanks.

it has allways been 1 team per nation and there's usually either mercenaries reserve team or a 2nd team of the organizing nation. But that's only the case when there's an odd number of countries playing.
