Frenzy, Side Step, & Touchdowns (LRB 5)
Here is the scenario:
Player A has the Frenzy skill and is holding the ball one square from the end zone.
Player B has the Side Step skill and is standing in the end zone directly in front of Player A.
Player A decides the use a Block Action against Player B in an attempt to score. He throws the block and gets a PUSH result. Player B Side Steps out of the end zone to a square next to Player A's starting position, and Player A follows to stand in the end zone.
Is this a touchdown?
Or MUST Player A throw the second hit of his frenzy and follow up on any knockback result (thereby erasing the potential TD)?

There is a FAQ which I believe is relevant.
Q: If a player with Strip Ball pushes a player with the ball into his end
zone is this a Touchdown? Likewise what happens if a Frenzy player’s
first block pushes a player with the ball into the End zone?
A: No, as stated in the rules, a player has to be standing and holding a
ball to score. This doesn’t happen with Strip Ball. As for Frenzy, the
touchdown is scored as soon as the player is pushed into the end zone.
The Frenzy player does not get the 2nd block.
So the TD stops the frenzy player in the middle of the action.
I believe this would hold for a TD during a team turn just as much as one during an opponents turn.

The FAQ is addressing scoring in the opponents turn, which is slighty different from scoring in your own turn. Let us reference page 15 of LRB 5:
You score in your turn when one of your players ends their action standing in the EZ while holding the ball. The Frenzying player does not end their action until they are finished with the frenzy. Which means you do get the 2nd block and will probably be pulled out of the EZ by the sidestepping player.
You score in your opponents turn when you have a player standing in the EZ holding ball at any point during the opposing teams turn. Thus the FAQ ruling saying that you score in the middle of the frenzy, canceling the 2nd block.
SCORING TOUCHDOWNS IN YOUR TURN
A team scores a touchdown during their turn when one of their
players is standing in the opposing team’s End Zone while
holding the ball at the end of any of your players' Actions. As
soon as this happens, play stops, the crowd cheers and whistles
and cheerleaders dance about waving pom-poms. The coach of
the scoring team has our permission to leap about and cheer a
bit too, while moving the score marker one space along the
scoring track on the Playing Pitch.
Any player may enter either End Zone at any time, even if they
are not carrying the ball. If the ball is thrown to them and they
catch it, or they are able to pick up the ball while in their
opponent’s End Zone, they score a touchdown. Note, however,
that in order to score a touchdown the player must end his Action
standing in the End Zone; if the player failed to make a Dodge
roll, for example, and thus was Knocked Down in the End Zone
then he would not score a touchdown.
SCORING IN THE OPPONENT’S TURN
In some rare cases a team will score a touchdown in the
opponent’s turn. For example, a player holding the ball could be
pushed into the End Zone by a block. If one of your players is
holding the ball in the opposing team's End Zone at any point
during your opponent's turn then your team scores a touchdown
immediately, but must move their Turn marker one space along
the Turn track to represent the extra time the players spend
celebrating this unusual method of scoring!

From the specific language in the rule, I'd think the frenzy player has to follow up and move back out of the End Zone. So, you'd either have to knock the sidestepper on his butt and then move back into the end zone to score or after the second frenzy hit, do a dodge to get to the end zone.

I had the same situation in a game of mine, so i used 2 players to block both sides making it impossible for him to sidestep out of the end-zone.
It took 3 2+ dodges and 2 GFI.
And then i threw the block with my witch elf: skull, both down reroll skull, both down
all that work for nothing
(the side stepper, a norse runner also had diving tackle)

That's the point. I suffered that situation once as I wanted to push the ball carrier into the crowed. But as he stepped in the endzone my opponent showed me that phrase in the LRB and from that day I won't do that mistake anymore(unless I'll force my opponent to score)GorTex wrote: You score in your opponents turn when you have a player standing in the EZ holding ball at any point during the opposing teams turn.
