YAST - Yet Another STadium - with static grass

Post by Frank »

This time I used "Tile Spacers" and static grass for the field.
You can find a manual here: http://bloodbowl.beckerf.de/html/tile_spacers.html

Looks great Frank :D (as usual  ).

Do you prefer this new variant now for your stadiums or was it just a test how a stadium with static grass will turn out?

Normally I use a template with the markings, fix it on the field and airbrush. This is not really working for static grass, because of the "high" grass.
Because of the tile spacers this was not necessary.

But it was really boring to cut the tiles and to glue them on the board (I think I watched 4 NFL games while doing this).
So - No I don't think there will be a lot of them in the future... :-?
On the other hand I have 3 of 4 bags with static grass left

I have another stadium in progress 8) , which use styrofoam as the field (like my third foldable stadium - you can see it here on the left side: http://bloodbowl.beckerf.de/html/3kings ... bl_08.html or this weekend in Duesseldorf :D ).
Using a pencil you press the "stone structure" in it and paint it using normal colors. Very easy to make - but it's working only for stones and not grass.

Great field. Wish I had the patience to make static grass look that good.
