Just some light hearted comparison there... And of course you are right, only some direct competition for coaches that weekend, will possibly curb the already expensive and rising GW BB ticket costs...lucifer wrote:

I would just like to say Lucifer............Fair play to ulucifer wrote:Not really. More like refusing to pay the high price of tournament entry but still wanting to play. We've said all along (and made no secret of it) that if GW were to drop their price then this wouldn't have gone ahead. It's not about fame or fortune but about taking a stance against what we believe is right and wrong.SPIN1 wrote:It's a bit like 1992.....when some of the enigmatic stars of the darts world broke away from the WDO and BBC (Blood Bowl Corps) to seek fame and fortune as the PDC on Sky TV!(bit bored)
As for me? Like plenty of people I can afford it, but instead I'm supporting those who can't (and who GW wouldn't listen to otherwise). I see it as social responsibility, i.e. supporting ALL of the community not just those with money. But everyone has to make his or her own
decision on this.

Not too sure but there is a chance that I may pop up for this one. I know I have turned into the new Jamie for promising to come to events ( I know mate, you don't do that any more, I have taken your mantle it appears...

Update 08 Feb 2008:
It had been our intention to release the rules pack and make tickets available earlier this week (they are all ready to go). We have 3 venues provisionally booked, each at a different size, as we intend to decide on the final venue based on early bookings. All venues are in central Manchester.
However. Other organisations have initiated discussions behind the scenes which have caused an unexpected delay. Can we ask that you please bear with us on this just a couple more days until Monday? It would be really appreciated.
Many thanks, and apologies once again for the delay.
