Many Thanks

I never said that orange was the official colour, but as you said yourself, those base rings are totally unofficial by now. Blue has been widely accepted as kickers, and orange seems to be what most people use for their runners (if they want an extra colour for this position). And I'm entirely sure that orange base rings would mean something to you, if you were facing a Skaven team with 4 miniatures having it. You can't be that uncreative.Thadrin wrote: These are the ONLY colours ever officially named, though blue was widely accepted for kickers, so runners never had a colour and anything you hear or read otherwise is misinformed. If I saw Orange base rings that would mean nothing to me. Personally I painted my Dwarf Runners bases white to match their passing skills access, and my Skaven Runners yellow, as they were once upon a time catchers.
I've seen parts of armour colour coded. I've seen the feathers on Amazon players colour coded. My Orc team has 4 Orcs with double shoulder pads and helmets - my blitzers - and several players with no helmet and only one shoulder pad each - Lineorcs.Thadrin wrote:Please name some. When playing with 2ed edition minis, or third party minis, base rings are still the best way to go for me. I'm even using them for my new dark elf team, although they're plain boring 3rd edition minis.
